Allstate Marketing Research Same phone number, different names listed Secret Shopper Scam New York, New York

I received a letter with a check for 1988.00. It stated that it is for a 1st assignment to become a secret shopper. I immediately became suspicious. When I called, i was instructed to deposit this check into my checking account and then wire 1500 of the money to Tina Commeh in Spain via Western Union and then report is the WU cashier was polite via a survey. The second assignment is to purchase something for 70 dollars and then keep the item, but fax in my receipts. After doing some internet research, I found that the same number has been used in various scams. The phone number is for a cell phone in Ontario, Canada but the Administrative office is listed as being in Philadelphia on the check and New York on the letter. The bank routing numbers do not match for The Bank of New York Mellon, which is where the check is drawn from. Do not fall for this, your bank will cash the check, but within weeks, you will be help liable for the whole amount plus fees for depositing a fake check.
