Alpha Credit Services Teledraft ripoff of $299 NEW YORK New York

In August 2003, I received a call from Alpha Credit Services, offering me a credit card if I allowed them to take an initial fee of $299 from my checking account. I spoke with a Tina Williams.

(In fact I received two calls in total that day and opted to do business with both Services....Yes, they both ripped me off!)

When I received the packet, I was not satisfied, so I called and said I was returning the packet and wanted a refund, and said I felt they misrepresented themselves.

I called my Bank they were unable to back out the payment since it was past 60 days of the transaction going through.

I sent the packet back in late 2003, tracked it back to the destination by way of US Postal Services Delivery Confirmation Receipt, and then started calling again for my refund.

Everyone I spoke with told me I would get my refund in 10-12 weeks, when I asked why they said it was necessary for them to check out the return packet, make sure I sent everything back.

I called weekly, each week I got a different story.

Then in late December 2003 I spoke with a representative whom told me that Alpha is a rip-off company and I should call my bank. She said that there was no other information she could provide since her company was just an out-source company whom handled customer service for Alpha Credit as well as several other companies.

I asked the rep if the company she works for didn't feel a part of the ripoff since they were the ones getting the banking information, and she said No. She said she's doing her job, providing a service to a company that pays for customer service reps.

I did some research and found out that Teledraft was the company who took the money out of my account, so I emailed them several times, and asked for their help in gettig my money back...I have yet to get a resonse from them.

I have been taken advantage of, but I do bare some of the responsibility of not doing my homework. However, I do believe that they will get their just due in the end...people like these folks run the gambit too often to not slip up somewhere along the line.
