Alpha Posting Service located at http://alphapostingservice.com is a Craigslist posting service that is either too busy or just a plain rip off. I contacted them to post just a simple 2 ads per day on Craigslist for thirty days.

The directions were clear post in these thirty cities once for two weeks then go back and post in them again once for two weeks. the total was 60 ads they should have placed. first the owner had told me no, the campaign wasnt big enough, so I offered him more money. He agreed.

I sent him the content, the titles, and the list of 30 cities. He said all set the posting starts tomorrow. A few days later I checked in to see how it was going. He responded with the two cities that he had posted in to date. I found this odd, as he said the campaign was going to start the next day and that was three days before my email. But whatever I didnt question him on why only 2 ads in three days. Then I asked him what cities he posted in so I could look. He responded with one city on the list and another city not on the list. Which I found odd again but didnt say anything...

When I went to the city that was on the list the posting was there, it was in a pic format though so nop one could copy and paste or click on the email, that was a disadvantage, but gain I overlooked it. I asked him to unbold the content as it was hard to read with the heavy bold he had on the text.

Two days later I asked what ads were out there so I could check. Now I looked around and researched his company before hand and knew he had none of these so I trusted him for the most part. Mistake! So he responds with two more additional cities not on the list and both not visible online. Now I was like hmmm whats going on here, but I didnt want to make the guy annoyed or mad so I figured I would give him a few more days and take action if this continued.

So three days go by, now a week into the campaign. I had done this before and would normally get about 25 email from ads out there for a few days. I had one email to date, and it was from the first city I saw posted LA. Nothing else. So now I am really questioning whats going on. So I send my final question - "can you please let me know what cities have been posted in to date beyond the four I am already aware of?" H?e responds with two more cities not on the list And says they were ghosted and didnt show up.

So to summarize we went one week had 6 total posts, 4 of which were in cities not even targeted with one ad visible. This coming from a guy that said they were at an 85% success rate. I dont think so. We also paid $150 for this service so approx $38 for 5 invisible ads in the wrong cities and one visible ad in the right city for the whole first week!

Knowing (at least I thought I did) Paypal's policies I wasnt upset, I was calm. I simply put a claim in with Paypal to get a refund. I sent a crude email to the service provider describing the Alpha Posting Service as a rip off and explaining the reasons above for my thought process and my actions.

He responded to calling me a liar, he also responded with links to a few other posts he had made... half of course to cities that were not on the list! I asked him why he didnt tell me of those posts. Hee didnt respond to the question. I told him I thought I was getting ripped off and everything to date said so. Now seeing these other posts it was obvious that he had made an oversight on what cities to post in. I responded with an apology and an offer to continue if he would post in the properly targeted cities and just send me a report so I could check which ones made it pst ghosting so I could track ROI. I also offered that if the relationship was ruined by my assumptions I would settle for just $100 and wish him the best.

He resorted to telling me off. I responded that he was wrong, and that everything on my side made it seem like a scam and that he was still not doing the campaign as agreed upon in the main 30 cities. He refused to overlook it, refused to offer a refund, refused to continue together and told me that my account was cancelled and paypal had already decided he was in the right?

So I check with Paypal and believe this... they say they cant do anything about it!? They say its a service and he has no bad marks so we decided in his favor! I'm like hold on here, he has worked for four days, posted ads that werent even supposed to be posted, didnt tell me of some other ads he posted, was supposed to work for 30 more days and is now saying i need to pay another $50 setup and he is keeping my $150! They said sorry we cant help you.?

Needless to say, paypal is a joke too I come to find out. Buyer Beware Paypal will not issue you a refund on a service purchase.

So this guy from Alpha is still sending me these emails on paying him more money to work together and calling me a spoiled child and how pathetic I am, etc. I responded to letting him know that I was in the process of setting up a (this article right now)website to report him to future potential clients to be weary of his service methods. He then finally agreed to drop the additional setup fee and finish the campaign as agreed upon but not until offering a few more berating comments and condesending thoughts like the following - "you are a fool, when you assume you make an a*s of yourself, and like I pity little children I will pity you and finish your stupid campaign"

All this becuase the guy couldnt figure out a simple direction... here are 30 cities, post in these 30 cities twice in one month.

I would have taken my money back and told this guy where he could put his posts, but since that isnt an option I am forced to let this guy continue and I am sure I know what to expect. He will post only half the ads as now he hates me, but seriously? What would you do? I dont recommend this guy to anyone. When he does figure out where to post, the posts look like crap and you will have about %50 of your ads either not get posted at all or they will be ghosted. So will 30 ads be worth $150, we'll see... to be continued...

Buyer Beware - Alpha Posting Service - the guy is a meatball, he is either so d**n busy he doesnt even know where your ads are supposed to go or he is just not good at what he does for a living.

The owner and management have made this work amazing!!

AUTHOR: Alpha posting service is a scam - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 12, 2010

Boy was I wrong in the beginning posting something bad about this service. I feel like an idiot, even though there was a miscommunication the company owner and management of this fine service has turned me around in to their biggest fan. I am now having all of my clients use their posting service as they do get the job done every day. The company owner has won my loyalty and respect and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a "true to their word" service that has almost no ghosting and posts their ads just as you want. Kevin... thanks so much for a job well done and I look forward to working with you long in to the future!

Simply an amazing service, you can count on them!

Kudos!

I will be now signing one of my own clients for their service and signing again for our own company with multiple campaigns.

Alpha's management has been working hard to resolve this

AUTHOR: Alpha posting service is a scam - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 26, 2010

So its looking like I might have over-reacted regarding Alpha Posting Service. It was about a week ago when I posted my issues and I think I was wrong in doing so. Alpha has been doing exactly what they were supposed to do. It seems as though there was some miscommunication at the beginning of the campaign. Since we ironed everything out.... they have done an excellent job. We have about two more weeks left working with them and if they continue to the degree they have worked our campaign the last week, we will not only re-sign with them...but will double our expenditures and use of their company. They have now produced almost 10 leads from their work, which is good. I will update this with a summary in 10 days.

Thanks

I have been working with Alpha Posting Service for quite sometime. They are the best company I have ever worked with online. Their customer support is outstanding!! They repky to e-mails within like 5 minutes of when I send them. Also, their services are probably the best on the net. Their ghostign rate is very low and I can't thank them enough for their great service. I dont know the situation of why this was a reprot, but let me tell you, this company is the best!!!

CUSTOMER VIOLATED AGREEMENT BY FILING A DISPUTE

AUTHOR: CAW300ZX - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 20, 2010

I am here to confront this so-called "rip-off." To give a little history... This guy decides to go with me about 2 months back, says he will be starting within a week. No response from e-mails, etc. I get an e-mail about 2 weeks ago asking if he can do the campaign. I say sure... but there is a requirement. He says ok and offers a higher price for the ads. I agree and we continue. He e-mails me all the information neglecting to give me the list of cities that he wanted me to post to. He told me previously to post in the top 30 cities. I assumed it meant what I knew was the top 30. I started posting, and this is in the 'RESUMES SECTION." The ghosting here can be phenominal. So, I start posting his ads and give him the cities in which I am posting to.
I get an e-mail from PayPal stating that I had an opened dispute. I check the e-mail and it is from this guy. He claims that "he has a bs detector that can detect a mile away." So, I e-mail with proof of every single ad that has been posted. I won the PayPal claim because like this guy stated. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY BAD MARKS! as I conduct good business. I won the claim. I am supposed to continue the campaign even though this guy says I didn't do it in the first place? So, no, I am an ethical person. I say ok, since your account was deleted we need to set-up all over again. We says no and he is putting a bad mark on me. I say ok, listen, you made a fool out of yourself by assuming I was a scam. I will pity you and resume the campaign. I started the campaign, and checked my name to see if he really did complete anything... sure enough.... I was a kind person and continued his campaign and this is how he blatently lies to the public and puts another bad mark on me?? Well, needless to say this is in violation AGAIN of our compromise.
I offered compassion to this gentlemen as I did not want to leave a customer unhappy and that is why my standing with PayPal is excellent. He even said this himself. I am a very ethical businessman and offer any compassion I can to clients.
