Als Discount Furniture Poor Service, Poor Quality Furniture, Unwilling to Refund, Told me "Good luck in small claims court" Woodland Hills California

Do not purchase furniture from Als Discount Furniture in Southern California.

I purchased an ottoman and a kitchen table from their Woodland Hills location. I was told to call the main office to find out when I could pick up the furniture. I called and was told the furnniture would be ready for Tues. night. I made arrangements for a truck, went to the location, no furniture. I was told the truck never came. A huge waste of time. I was told that they would deliver it, and assemble it free, but I had to have a 4 hour window on Sat. A further waste of time. They did not assemble it. My fiance and I struggled to put it together.

As we were unpacking the items we noticed the table has several nicks and the corner of the table was smashed in. I called and was told some one would contact me. No call. I called again Sun. same story, same result. Mon. I attempted to reach a manger. The recepionist had to be the rudest, most ignorant person I have ever spoken to. When I finally reached the general manager Micheal, I told him I was not happy with the service and the quality of the furniture and that I would like a refund. I paid cash. He then told me "good luck in small claims court, the only thing I will do is replace the table." I would have to wait another 4 hours on Sat. for the second table. He blamed everyone including the salesperson, the manufacturer, the 2 "stupid" new receptionists he has, and the economy. I could tell he was a real class act. He caught himself up in several lies during our conversation. He aslo offered me a $50 gift card to spend more money in his store.
