Alyeska Mineral Makeup - Northern Minerals Out of Business ripoff Anchorage Alaska

My name is Kathy Longhurst and I use to be Mineral Treasures Pure Mineral Makeup. Michelle Oliphant had been a customer of mine for about a year and they had been selling mineral makeup as Northern Minerals on Ebay. As far as I knew they were doing very well. I had heard Michelle had just had a baby and then within 2 months she had been in a car accident with the baby, all were well but the business suffered while they were recovering.

I'm not sure how much time passed when Michelle had to have surgery for a burst appendix - another problem for the business. I have been told that there is a possibility that those things or some of them are not true. To my knowledge they are true. I moved to Arizona temporarily and talked with Michelle about merging Mineral Treasures and Northern Minerals together and that's how ALYESKA came about.

I had no idea that there were major problems already with Michelle and her Northern Minerals business. I never signed any paperwork and felt very apprehensive about the merge. I knew I would be moving back to southern utah and at that time would pick up my Mineral Treasures business again but Michelle started having the same kinds of problems with ALYESKA that she did with Northern Minerals.

I was bombarded with calls and e-mails from people who were not receiving their orders and the Michelle was not e-mailing them back or answering phone calls. My days were spent trying to get back to people Michelle was ignoring. I was very unhappy about this. The Alaska attorney generals office called me regarding the problems with Michelle and Northern Minerals, they wanted to ask me some questions.

I don't like to air peoples dirty laundry so I won't go into detail - I just want to say this - some people just can't run a business, they don't have the skills and sometimes there are other personal problems too. I do believe Michelle wanted this business to be a success, because of her issues which she has no control over she was unable to handle running this business and she withdrew and was making no contact with customers who were wondering if they had been scammed. In fact they were but not intentionally - what I mean is that Michelle did do things wrong but because of her condition I don't believe she is really capable of doing better than she did.

I believe she is not capable of being an honest business person. I have been talking with the Alaska attorney general and she has been talking with the Oliphants lawyer and thet have promised to ship all orders or give refunds but this may take awhile so expect that.

I have let Mineral Treasures go and am now LET'S FACE IT Mineral Makeup Boutique and we now have a store front as well as an internet business. I'm trying to recover from this myself and am out thousands of dollars. You can call your credit card company and tell them that ALYESKA is no longer in business and that all their phones are disconnected and they will refund you. Michelle and Patrick are no longer in Alaska and I have no idea how to find them so the Alaska attorney general is the only avenue as she has contact with their lawyer.
