I requested a Buick engine and was told that I would get a running engine. When it arrived, the right side differential pan (housing) was broken completely off. I called and asked if the car the engine came out of had been in an accident. I was told that they intentionally broke it to force me to replace the gasket between the engine and the differential pan. Being gullible I accepted their explanation. I then sent the engine to my mechanic to put into my Buick. He said, it was damaged and that it would cost an additional $1500 because he would have remove the damaged part from the new engine and from my old engine, and then re-install the old differential on my new engine. I didn't have another $1500. I contacted other shops, they gave me the same story, saying I should have never bought the engine. I tried more than once to get AM Used Parts to take back the engine including pay for shipping and handling. They flat refused, saying I only had 15 to return the engine and it was well past that time. I said, it was their fault the engine differential was damaged and that it would cost me more money, how could I have installed it. And since I tried different shops, it took longer than their 15 day limit. Still not help from US Used parts, they suggested I sell it on Craigslist. I paid high dollars for the engine because they offered a 1 year warranty. That is a joke. You have to have the engine installed in 15 days, you have replace all gaskets, sensors, oil pump, water pump, spark plugs, and so on to meet their warranty requirements. I could see the replacing what they were talking about but a shop takes longer than 15 days to complete that amount of work. I have since located a shop that will offer me the same deal, and they will get me an engine without the fraudulent promises.
