Amazing Tails is a service dog training center located in Oxford PA.  What would have been my third service dog (second from Amazing Tails) would have been placed with me sometime in late June or early July.  Back in November of 2013 I received 2 phone calls.

The first phone call I received was from the trainer of my dog, Siobhan Cameron.  In this phone call I was informed by Ms Cameron that the owner of Amazing Tails, Joanie Bussard could not pay the salary due Ms Cameron because of over ten thousand dollars in outstand debt.

Later that same week I received a simlar call from Joanie Bussard which simply reinforced the training centers outstanding debt.

While all of this is going on I was under contract with Amazing Tails. Under the terms of this contract I agreed to pay a total cost of $7000.00 and this fee is not due until the training of the dog is complete.  As an act of good faith I have been making payments via paypal for the past year and a half.

On Thursday April 24, 2014 I received a call from Ms. Cameron stating that the agency was having a problem meeting obligations to its creditors and that a young female client with Agoriphobia had raised more money then I had in less time.

On April 25, 2014 I contacted Ms. Bussard to inform her that it was highly unprofessional to compare the funding efforts of clients based on his or her disability.  It was also stated that I was not obligated to pay any fees or engage in fundraising until the training of my dog was complete.

I became very concerned and made a written request for the last three yars of tax returns for this registerd 501(c)3 not for profit agency, As I am entiltied to this information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

The agency responded by terminating my contract and returning a small portion of the funds that they had received both in direct payment and charity donations.

I am currently in the process of seeking legal representation along with media coverage for this issue.

No resolution Legal Action pending

Despite my efforts to rresolve this issue the company refuses to be reasonable.  I have e-mail where the owner accepts full responsability for the issues as well as text messages where the trainer refer to the dog being trained as my dog.  This company truly beleives they are above law and untouchable.

Repeated attempts to resolve issue failed

POSTED: Friday, June 27, 2014

I have made several attempts to resolve this issue via email and phone call.  I have e-mails stating that Joanie Bussard (owner) acceps full responsability for the issues that caused Amazing Tails to terminate the contract between Amazing Tails and myself however the company is unwilling to take steps to correct the problem.

Legal representation has been obtained and court paperwork will be filed in the next few days.  Sadly, this may have an effect on the entire client base of Amazing Tails.
