Amazon.com is RIPPING off its sellers. I was a seller, selling domestic videos (purchased at Blockbuster), and imported sets purchased from another Amazon seller (lots of feedback...still currently selling). Their commissions, were very steep..about 15%, but within 2 weeks, I had sold about $4000. At that time, I received an email from Amazon stating my account would be in review, and that although I would be able to continue to sell, they would hold my money up to about 45 days. I extended my credit cards, because sales were good, and I figured 45 days would be no big deal. By the end of 40 days, my account was over 19000, and my credit very extended. I had received around 30 positive feedbacks at this point, and 1 negative feedback (which I tried to rectify, but you cannot please everybody). I received another email from Amazon, stating my account was blocked, and I could no longer sell on their site, due to my customer service did not fit their standards. Bear in mind, I had shipped, well over 400 packages at this point, and had 1 negative comment. They stated my funds would be held 90 days..from the date of my last sale. Not only had they held it for 40 days already, they now want to hold it an additional 90 days! It has now been 60 days, and I have had 2 complaints (empty complaints) in which they gave the buyer their money back, taking it out of my account, and did not require the buyer to send back the product.

Amazon is lame. They still hold over 18 thousand dollars of my money (of course without interest), and I am having to pay interest on the credit line and credit cards I used to buy product with. If you email them, you receive canned answers...no personalized help or compassion. My experience on Amazon will cost me thousands. They could care less about their sellers. You are guilty without the benefit of being able to present a case or explain yourself. A competitor can make a complaint about you, and their word is taken as gold, and you, as a small seller are thrown in the trash. Amazon has no loyalty to its seller community, and they will burn you in a seconds notice, and discard you without batting an eye. They are heartless and they should have government investigation for the amount of time they insist on holding your money without cause. Big Warning: steer clear of being a seller!!
