Amelia Stone, Putney Central School Principal, is an exploiter of vulnerable parents. She used all of her artistry to try to frighten my husband and me, because she thought that our disabilities would make us "easy" to manipulate. She screamed, squalled, hurled nasty and degrading voice tones at me, in order to intimidate. She wanted to tap the funding streams that worked best for her, and that meant forcing as many parents as possible to medicate (psychotropically) their kids. I didn't want my children to suffer from the toxic side effects that I had suffered from, so I had no choice but to resist her. She then sent Child Protective Services after me, but I prevailed.
This happened to me in 2003, but I was too overwhelmed with shock to talk about it until now.

I am moving beyond the anger stage and feeling my way closer to the beginnings of a forgiveness stage. I am healing slowly from the shock of what happened and looking to a future where I can help my family to heal.

Karl did not write this, I did. I am married to the biological father of my children who went to Putney Central School. You need not assume that because a family is in the lower income category, they are "bad" and therefore you get to abuse and exploit them.

I found Amelia P. Stone of Putney, Vt to be coercive and cruel as a Principal. She duressed parents, emotionally abusing disabled ones, and made false reports to Child Protective Services. She manipulated funding streams and exploited children with Medicaid cards. I hope that someday she will be properly investigated and found guilty. Now Ms. Stone is not a principal, but serves on the Board of Youth Services in Brattleboro, VT. She should not be there, as she has shown herself to be harmful to good families. I wish her name could be blacklisted so she can be kept away from families, children, and youth.

Amelia P. Stone, the FORMER principal of Putney Central School, is now on the Board of Youth Services in Brattleboro, VT. I experienced her behavior as cruel, and I know that she indeed exploits the vulnerable to further her own goals. Youth and their families should not have to be exposed to her.

I have just learned that Amelia Stone is retiring from her Principalhood at Putney Central School at the end of this school year. I am VERY thankful that she will will be away from a position where she can easily bully and abuse the vulnerable. I hope that some day somebody will check the records to see if she pulled any Medicaid fraud. She so loved to intimidate and force "dumb" parents to drug up their kids using Medicaid cards. The abuse that she perpetrated on my family will never die, it will always be with us. Fiona
