Lies After Lies After Lies, are you that desperate ?  Zebra never changes it's stripes, once a cheater always a cheater. We asked you for a receipt and 1099 form several times and you have refused to issue it. Instead, you provoked and wrongfully accused a kid with drug possession to enforce your self serving "No Refund Policy" without any warning. Which is in really fine print of the enrollment form intentionally not to be seen. You have never mentioned about this infamous " No Refund Policy" and were rushing to get our check since it was end of the day. You have admitted our child without any assessment test- just $$$. 

Consumers are smarter than what you think, just save your corrupt mind and exaggerated advertisement somewhere else. We will stand by our word of mouth - it's the TRUTH that matters. 
We are the victims of a greedy business owner who provided misleading information in court.  The quality of the program is marginal and underdeliver from our expectation. Their devotion is  full $$$ potential, they do not care for the welfare of children. Please read all her unnecessary derogatory remarks towards our child. Would you trust this kind of person to train your child to be a better person? 

Our 19 year old is a responsible full time student working in a big chain HEALTH supplement store, not your McDonald's.  After all, she still lives with us-  rent free.  She have a lot of time in the world and doesn't need to pretend to be a Hillsborough homeowner or a world class educator.

It's hard to believe that this would be the place we could get rip off- a school. But unfortunately, it happened to us and we hope that this REAL RIPOFF CASE will be helpful to others.





 

First off, to those who are commenting without knowing the facts of this particular situation, please refrain from commenting. You are perpetuating salacious gossip and should do real research into these issues if you are in fact thinking of enrolling your children. 

The results of my investigation are as follows: 

1. The Child in question does NOT have a sterling record. In fact, she has quite a file according to the her counselors at her high school. She does indeed have a job, but a "well-known" company does not necessarily mean a prestigious one. Let's just say, McDonald's is a well-known company. 

2. The American Advanced Academy has a strict no-refund policy if students are found in violation of the Code of Conduct, which parents and students agree to when registration is completed. The child in question violated this code and was thus subject to expulsion from the program with no refund. 

3. The case was tried in small-claims court, but the prosecution (Ms. Michelle Artap) lost to the American Advanced Academy. 

4. There have been no other cases or complaints against the American Advanced Academy has had no other than this one incident. If anything, the Academy's record is only improving - they have just one the Best of San Mateo County Award for the fourth time in a row - one of the only organizations in the US to have achieved this honor. 

5. The owners of the American Advanced Academy has never stated, nor implied she is from Harvard. She is a graduate of Oxford University and Wharton Business School (UPENN) as clearly stated in all literature in which she is represented. She was indeed a Hillsborough homeowner as well, an the fact the she was the Entrepreneur of the Year in 1995 is substantiated by the Small Business Association. 

Conclusion: It is more than likely that one or both parties are acting out of anger in this case. However, the remarks by this particular poster are both unsubstantiated and somewhat malicious in intent. The American Advanced Academy has an otherwise sterling reputation and it is seems that this case is both isolated and uncommon, as were the conditions under which this child in question was accepted in the program. Academy officials have affirmed that their admissions standards have become more strict. 

On a side note, it should be noted that the Academy's faculty include some of the worlds leading professors from institutions such as Stanford, Cornell, Princeton, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UPENN, and George Mason. Chances are, the faculty's decision to expel this student are correct in this case. 

Thank God, it's no longer an isolated case that you could manipulate and bully people around again. You have a nerve to discredit this consumer after you stole her hard earned money with your checkered history. This consumer is not "perfect"  but definitely not a "failure". She's living your dream as a successful entrepreneur owning a home in an affluent neighborhood with her family and not an evicted tenant and classless business owner ! This consumer is just being "REAL", crook like you do not deserve sympathy or respect. Be afraid of Karma, remember you're feeding your body with the money that's not yours, even if you're not watching your diet (obviously). It could be toxic you know, we will pray for you.

No offense, but your rebuttal isn't exactly endearing from a consumer standpoint. Why would a person want to enroll their kid in a school run by someone that's going to do their best to sound as childish as possible when replying to a customer with a problem - even one with the apparent checkered history that you two seem to share?

If you can prove 'em wrong, do it. If not, don't reply like THIS. I want my kids to be on the playground, not the adults charged with watching and protecting 'em.

Good luck between the two of you sorting this out, but please don't be upset if I don't hold my breath waiting.

AN ISOLATED INCIDENT - SADLY
Thank God -- This is an isolated incident. Alas, any business with Michelle Artap is unfortunate.   Michelle Artap is a vindictive person acting maliciously. In her desperation, she has made up false accusations and lies. There is no truth in her statements. They are unsubstantiated and frivolous. She is a bully and has made numerous threats, hitting below the belt. This is her character & her MO. She is jealous of any success due to her own failure as a realtor, wife, mother & person. BEWARE OF GOODNESS DESTRYERS!
 
Despite the scorns & personal vendetta of one single parent who cannot let go since 2006, all families will carry on to benefit & have the commitment of the American Advanced Academy Leadership Team to continue to put our students first and to uphold our philosophy of achieving top academic success as well as building strength of character and true self esteem for all children that are enrolled in our programs. Furthermore, we will be expanding our brain training programs to better motivate today's youth and preparing them for the superior colleges, universities and other higher institute of learning.
