AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT - AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT TOOK MY MONEY AND SENT ME A BROKEN LIFT 5 MOUNTHS LATER AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANY SHOP THEY STOP PRODUCTION IN  I HAVE NEVER HEARD SO MANY EXCUSES PORT CHESTER , New York

We ordered a new lift from American automotive Equipment and it has been crazy ever since they took my over 4000 dollars after talking to the the sales person and telling them i had a problem getting equipment that i bought from them about 7 years ago and i did not want to play games this time and wait half a year to recieve my equipent i was told we would have the new 4 post alighnment lift in 3 weeks.

 well about 3 mounths goes by and we are calling and calling and we are being told a lot of different things from a few different people in texas where they ship from. finally over 6 mounths later we get our lift showes up after being given over 6 or 7 different delivery times. I had rented a large fork lift 3 times to meet the truck when they would tell me it was comming. anyway the truck opens it door and there it is for one not even the same lift i was told i was sold the one they showed me was a american products blue lift this was a lift made in china yellow and blue wich i did not descover till we wound the lift was missing a lot of hardware and was damages the runways where bent this supposed to be a alighnment machine remember. and way we take pictures before unloading and call the trucking co and tell them whats up and we call AAE and tell them.'

 they say they will look into it. Now after selling my old alighnment lift 30 days after ordering this new one i have not way to do alignments the lift is missing parts and we had to do repairs on it so another couple weeks go by and we get a few of the things we need to get it working and we are really upset at the quality of this lift bit i am trying to keep a mechanic that is already very upset with me obout this whole problem. about 6 mouths later  we notice the lift listing to one side after leveling the lift many times. by the way i have been doing this for 35 years and have had many lifts. So we start looking a little closser the the lift and notice the 2 main front pullies are self destucting and so we called AAE again and tolked to lots of people and then i find out this lift is made in china and they had never delt with this manufactuer before and i was told they will never deal with them again so hear i am without a alignment lift again for over 2 mounths waiting and hearing all kind s of stuff from we are having them made for me to they are getting them from china. finally 3 mounths go by and olso the mechanic that had been working for me for 4 years said he was sick of this and left anyway re get the pullies and pins but no bushing and since then had talked to the owner and was told he was giving me his cell phone and just call him and he was going to sell me another better lift for a discount. i call texas and talk to them and say you guys sent the pullies but no bushings please overnight them. I am told that is not going to happen so i tell the guy just send them and i would call charles to see if he would overnight anyway i call this number many times and never get a answer and leave 2 messages telling him please help me no call no reply so i call 5 days later to see why we have not recieved the very small bushings that should have been like 3 days i am told they have not even sent them the regular shipping yet.

 This is a long story but i am so frustraited by the way i have been missed handled and explained that they have really really hurt my business bad and i am in a corner because i spent the lift money and have a body shop where we do alignments every day and for the first time in 25 years i am subcontracting them to my competition who is not worried about getting my work done he has his own work to deal with.I NEVER WRITE COMPLAINTS I JUST DO NOT HAVE THE TIME AND I GIVE EVERY ONE A CHANCE TO MAKE THINGS WRITE BUT THIS PLACE IS REALLY A BAD PLACE TO DO ANY KIND OF BUSINESS WITH ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY JUST DO NOT CARE. EVERY TIME I CALLED THEY HAD AN EXCUSE OR A PERSONAL PROBEM WITH SOME DROPPED THE BALL OR DID NOT COME TO WORK I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO RUN A BUSINESS AND IT TAKES A LOT BUT I WOULD NEVER TREAT A CUSTOMER LIKE THIS EVER. I WANT TO BRING A CLASS ACTION LAW SUITE TO THIS COMPANY IF ANY ONE ELSE HAS HAD PROBLEMS PLEASE DO A RIPPOFF REPORT SO WE CAN CONTACT YOU  DO NOT LET THEM SHUT YOUR SHOP DOWN WITH FALSE PROMISES

I am the owner of Bethesda based auto repair shop that had a problem with American auto equipment. as we all know in business we have to rely on others to produce products for us.
In this case charles A and his company did out source to have auto lifts made by a different company than in the past so when the product failed they were having a hard time dealing with the company in china that built the product .
So I do understand how his employees had there hands tied. But I will say once I did get hold of the owner Charles Akerin He did make good on what he said he and he did it in a timley manner and all is well with the product. and I will do business with him Again. Gary
