American Express Bank, FSB Delta SkyMiles Credit Cardmember inaccurate skymiles Fort Lauderdale Florida

I am an existing Delta Skymiles Holder. I got an offer in the mail from American Express for and additional 25000 ski miles if I signed up for an American express Delta Skymiles Card. I received the skymiles card with a $5000.00 limit. I made two charges right away for a trip and travel cancellation insurance totaling $4716.00. I received a call from their "Security Department" saying I almost reached my limit. They asked me the names of any relatives I have and my bankaccount numbers I have. They said they needed to have a three way call with my bank. I refused to give them any of that information as I considered it highly suspect and irregular. I told them, "to ask me the questions from my application to get the delta ski miles card from american express" because I am not giving you any more information.

I then checked my delta ski miles account to see if the 25000 mileage was awarded to my existing skimiles account. Instead of awarding me 25,000 additional miles, they only gave me 2500 miles added onto my previous total. When I asked them about that, they would not talk to me because my account was frozen. I assume it will stay frozen until I provide them with relatives names and my bank account number.

I have contacted the delta fax number at 888-286-3163 and faxed them a write up about this incident. I have also faxed the Attorney General for my state and included all pertanent information. I read another complaint about american express and a costco card. Similar problems were noted in that report.
