on march 24th 2009 i was contacted by a guy name sheldon novack who says he was the rep. for aga services and that we qualified for a government grant for first time buyers up to $30.000 dallors for the down payment.

he stated that we needed to submit a proposal to the company.he then stated the government have their own people who writes proposal on our behalf and this way things would move a lot faster for us and we needed to send $385.00 to catherine freiburghaus for the proposal.

once the money was recieved she would start the process and in 21 days we would be getting the full contract to take to a realators or the bank for the purchase of a foreclosed home.

we kept calling 888-520-8934 for three weeks leaving message then on may 14th 2009 we called the number it had been disconnected so i call the advisors office at 202-629-9516 still no response.

the next step was to track the cashier checks to the location of processing bank with an account number this account has checks and money orders with different signatures so whats the next step.

GRANT SCAMS ARE ALL OVER THE NEWS /Internet/Consumer Protection websites - Even here on ROR Consumer Alerts on the homepage

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 29, 2009

Most of these so called Grant Programs were created in Nov 08, in order to take advantage of Obama's Election.

its a a VERY OLD scam - that takes advantage of people who MAKE A CHOICE NOT TO CHECK THINGS OUT FIRST. Which is the choice YOU MADE.

From consumeraffairs.com
Government Grant Scams
The "free money" scam has been around almost as long as the human species. It has more variations than a bulldog has wrinkles but you can count on one thing: the government (any government) does not simply give money away to individuals. Anyone who tells you differently has larceny in his heart. If you give him your bank account number, he will soon have your funds in his pocket.

It does no good to list all of the names used by these bunko artists because a.) they change all the time and b.) every single free-money government-grant offer is a scam. Period.

from the ROR Consumer Alert page
The Federal Government is not trying to give you a free grant!
