American Proposition Lend - Debt Point Llc This unknown company started emailing me stating that I borrowed $400 from them and because of non payment I now owe them $1210. I emailed them back stating that I didn't know who they were and never borrowed money from them or anyone else. They are threatening to take legal actions against me if I don't pay. I have asked them to send me proof of such accusations but I'm receiving more threats instead. I asked for a phone number and an address but got more threats and a higher pay off now more than $3000. I am so afraid of what can happen because they have my social security number. Is there anyone out there that can help me. Internet

I received my first email from these people was a few days ago. They said that I borrowed $400 from them and because of non payment I now owe them $1210. Well I knew that was not true. I asked them to send me proof that they are real such as an appropriate address and phone number. I said how can I pay you if I don't know where to send it. In response I received more threats. They said I needed to pay immediately to avoid court fees and legal actions. If I don't pay I could be facing a legal mess. I could be facing a penalty if I reported the message to anyone such as an attorney or anyone law abided. Today I received my third or fourth email stating that I now owe over $3000 and it must be paid today. They are tired of me and either I respond yes or no to their email in regards to rather I'm going to pay or not will determine if I will go to Civil Court or not. I'm scared out of my mind because these people have not only my address but my social security number as well. I can't sleep and barely eating. I don't know if they are close by or far away. Please can someone out there help me. These people are always on my mind not knowing what's next. I'm not sure how they got my information.

VERY COMMON SCAM!

AUTHOR: Giselle - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 18, 2015

This type of scam is extremely common right now.  Your name and social security number is easily purchased by thieves and conmen and passed around.  Just tell these people you know they are scammers, you are aware of this sam and you aren't falling for it.  Once you tell them that, they will move on to the next victim.  You getting scared is what they want.  They want you to get scared and send them money so they will go away.  They are counting on your fear and ignorance to put money in their pocket.  Don't send them a dime as that just keeps the scam going. You don't owe them money, they are NOT legitimate, they are scammers and don't fall for this.  Get nasty with them and tell them to F Off.  Trust me, they will.  They have too many other people to try to scam to continue to waste time on someone who has wised up and knows they are full of BS.

scam

AUTHOR: Marie - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 18, 2015

These people are a scam. Contact the FTC about them. Do not answer anymore phone calls or emails. Next they will be saying they are from the IRS..We got two like that in the past few weeks. I hid my number an called them back.  Thick middle eastern accent...I do not recommend calling them ... I just did it because I could.  These people are a joke that try to scare people out of their money. Send those emails to the FTC. (Not like it will do much) but do not feel threatened by anyone claiming you owe money and DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING!!! Your bank , insurance, or healthcare was probably hacked  and that is how they got your social. You have to remember that these days you can get anything because people are just not honest and will steal in a heartbeat from any one . Tell them to go to *(&& and block their email or put it in spam. Debt collectors can't use those tactics  , lawyers (most) know better , and they can't contact you if you tell them to stop. If I were you I would put that in your spam folder and tell them to have a wonderful day.
