I purchased a female Rottweiler from American Puppy Club - on Febraury 21st, 2009. When i took her to the vet she was diagnosed with kennel cough, they agreed to pay for this issue without complaint. I have since gone back to the vet only to find out that my Rottweiler has a nuerological disoder which I had to find out by getting a spinal tap, extensive blood work and a mri, whic later cost me $3,578.00. i have also found out that I will nned to have to get her eye surgery because she has a condition called cherry eye, which will result in an additional $1,500 in surgery. They have indicated tha they will only pay what I paid for the puppy times too which results into $3,000 in total coverage. As you can see I have already had to pay $3,500 plus an additional $1,500 which will bring my total out of pocket to $5,000 leaving me in the dirt with expense. My general complaint with American Puppy Club - is that they had to have known that they were essentially selling me a dud of a puppy, I can remember that after i purchased the dog from them they had to have called my parents home at least 15 times to see how the dog was. I need your help in getting this company out of the area, because essentially they are doing a disservice to the community by providing animals that have no place into going into peoples homes. Please let me know if there is anything additional you may require from me Thomas Tizzio

These people will resort to tricks on websites

The response to this poor mans situation of the "happy costumer" is just another trick and scam that the people and this business continues to do all over the internet. On ever website where they have been rated badly they make sure to flag the posts before they can hit the public and if these stories do get out and there stars or ratings get effected they will post multiple ficticious postings within one day and continually after to counter the bad rating. They have continued this practice to the point where they have a 4 star rating on insider.com although most postings are basic attacks on anyone who can get a valid post through. I was in customer service for years and rarely does good service go noticed, only exceptional service "might" get a person to go on a website and promote you but it is rare. Bad business is much more likely to get a person typing. I can not say this posting was from an actual employee but what I will say is that any human being who can read can see these people have suffered, these animals have suffered, and everyone who purchased here has been duped. The owners and staff are basically criminals and leave sick animals to die in a back room. Animals that they purchase to sell to the public knowing there chances at living a normal life is a crap shoot. IT is sadistic and so is writing about your "happy purchase". Even if you came out of it with a healthy dog consider yourself lucky and have some compassion. I do think most other dog loving consumers would( again somethings off with all these postings). I went in to look for a pup the other day. The tactics they talked about were all used on me. Thank God. I did some homework. Its such a quandry you want to rescue the dog. Its sad.

A Happy Purchase

I've read many bad reports about American Puppy Club before I even set foot into their store. However, I'm a firm believer in seeing is believing, so i took a chance.
And I want to make it very clear that those reports were VERY WRONG.
I purchased my Pomeranian puppy about a year ago from American Puppy Club. It was the best decision of my life! Every person in the KENNEL was so helpful and kind. I was a little nervous at first because it was my first puppy and they walked me through it. The trainers at the kennel were willing to go the extra mile for me and make sure i was educated about my puppy and how to properly take care of him.
They even recommended a wonderful vet to me. The only issue i had with the puppy was it did come down with kennel cough, but my vet explained to me that it was really just a common cold in puppies and it was a quick fix. He put my puppy on some antibiotics and he was feeling better in no time at all. And they reimbursed me for those vet bills as well as calling me to make sure that he was getting along fine.
I am still so amazed by how wonderfully i was treated. I even went back for training with my puppy. The girls there were so excited to see him again. And he was a fast learner too. I would recommend American Puppy Club any day to anyone looking for a puppy.
