American Wheelchair this company is a ripoff they don't deliver what you order Pinellas Park Florida

I have back and leg injurys from Viet Nam and I can't walk, so I must use a wheelchair or scooter to get around.

On last May the 6th I was hit by a semi trailer truck while crossing a cross walk (and yes I had the walk signial) well I survived that but my scooter (less than a year old) was mashed like a cat.

After recovery I got on the net to see about a new one. Pride had a four wheel one called the hurricane that came standard with foam tires 40 amp hr batteries and a front basket.

So I called around town trying to find a provider that had one. The only provider that did was this American wheelchair. They said they had one but it didn't have foam tires or the 40 amp batteries but that was no problem as they could have them on by delivery. At that time I ordered a custom size seat and a fore arm crutch carrier also and informed them that I would pay the $3465.00 cash for the unit upon delivery.

On the 13th of may they delivered the scooter, no foam tires only 32 amp batteries and no custom seat? The sevice man told me that all that was on order and as soon as it came in they would be back over and put it all on. I told him that I would pay them when that was all taken care of, he told me that he would not leave the scooter untill I paid in full. Well here I was in bad need of the thing so like a fool I paid him and took his word.

I called on the 28th of May no luck, I called on the 10th of June, no luck On the 25 of june they came out but only had 2 of the tires only 38 amp hr batteries and the custom seat was the wrong size and would not work right, he said he would be back as soon as they came in and fix the seat to. It is now Oct the 15th and I have called them at least 8 times and all I get is the parts haven't come in yet?? (That's allmost 5 months to get the Parts)

Is this any way to treat a 60 year old disabled vet? Don't do bussiness with this jerk
