I too was a victim of this company. When I was contacted, I informed the solicitor that I only wanted news periodicals; she assured me that they were available. I did not want to sign up, but wanted to make sure that these magazines were available. Upon receipt of the list, I found out that I could subscribe to Penthouse, but not Time or U.S. News. I immediately emailed the company, canceling the bogus "Contract." Thanks to other posts, I also sent them a letter, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Montana's Attorney General.

I also informed them that I was "contesting" the charge on my American Express. They informed me that the only way I could contest was to allege fraud -- not true, there are numerous other ways -- although fraud comes close. When I looked at my bill on line, I found that not only was their a charge for their company, but for other services (not agreed to) I linked back to them. I contested all the charges, and as of today, they've removed it from my statement. Thanks to all of you for the helpful advise.
