Americlean Betrayed in Roselle Hoffman Estates Illinois

I have received frequent coupons in the mail for a $4.95 per room carpet cleaning service by Americlean. I have discarded the flyers for years, however, with company coming from AZ. I decided to give Americlean a try. Alas it was a fiasco. The young man who arrived wrote out a list of items he recommended for $160.00. I proudly showed him my coupon and said I wanted the $4.95 per room special and needed no preconditioning or scotch-guard. I made it clear that I did not want to see a sample of a preconditioned spot. He was reluctant, however gave me his word he would not precondition. There was a 5-room requirement so I showed him the living room, dining room, family room, bedroom and hallway. He agreed there were no stained spots so he called the office, then told me he would do the cleaning for $40.00, which included the five rooms plus a gas price and tax.

As the workman began he seemed upset that I was using and getting the coupon price. He parked his truck across the driveway and would not move it when my daughter came home from work.He finished the 5 rooms in less than 20 minutes and when I came to the front hallway to pay him I saw he had preconditioned a spot right in the entrance to my living room. The rectangular spot looked pure white in contrast to my light green carpet and was about 1 foot by 2 feet. When I asked why he did that, when he knew I wanted no preconditioning, he responded that he needed to show me what a good job it would be if I had chosen what they recommend, so that next time I will know. Next time? Can you believe I would ever again request this irresponsible workmanship? I called the company and spoke with the workman's boss who assured me the workman had done just what he was supposed to do, even though he had promised I did not have to have even a sample of the preconditioner because I had no heavy stains or soiled spots. The coupon states "all workmanship is fully guarenteed" and that must mean guarenteed to ruin your carpet and lie to you or be spiteful and leave an unsightly spot in the middle of your entryway.

My husband arrived home and, finding me in tears, got out our carpet shampooer and cleaned and cleaned pulling buckets of dirty water from the carpet, which I do not believe the workman cleaned at all. I believe he only treated one spot and the rest he only made wet all for my $40.00.

Weeks have passed and the spot which was preconditioned is no longer white but now collects dirt like a magnet. That spot is always soiled looking. I do not know what the young man did to my carpet except to say that he ruined my entryway. I write this to warn future customers that the Americlean workmanship is far from thorough and the company management is dishonest as they bate you with a coupon for $4.95 per room and then punish you for requesting the coupon price.
