This  happened to my mother on the day that she made her payment with in hours they came and repod her car and the repo guy was was very aggresive and high strung. He flew up in the driveway with my 9 year old son standing feet away and jumped out of the truck like he was going to attack us. Her car was in the garage and the repo guy knew that he could not take it out of the garage and we told him that the payment was made and he said let me see the confermation and of course he comes when there already closed so we couldn't call them  so we showed him  the confermation from the web and he says well theres nothing i can do and we still would not let him take the car as it  is still in the garage and he can not go in the garage in our state so he called the cops and they came and reamed him up one side and down the other about his unlawfull practices as he admitted to them as to how he came up on us but they did say we still had to let him take it as that is what the order says the cop said that the repo order was issued that day and he has never seen a car repod the same day it was issued so in guessing the order and payment could have been minutes or hours apart.  when my mom called the bank the next day they said that oh yeah your payment was made and we have reinstated your loan but you have to pay the repo fee and the $25 a day to get it back  the repo fee is $600 plus other misc charges and the $25 a day after paying them $1200 they day before who has that kind of money just laying around. They said that they issue repo orders at 45 days past due and even though her payment was made there is nothing that they could or would do.  So now she has to pay to get her car back at $25 a day and repo fee plus the monthly payment for something that she doesn't even have and the repo company says well we can't garentee that we won't sell it. So it goes back to they still want you to make the monthly payment on something that you may never get back.

Where is the Scam? Enlighten Us!

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

You said ACF issues repo orders on accounts 45 days late.  The account was 45 days late.  They issued the repo order.  Where is the scam?????????

I guess they are supposed to give you a free pass because you are "entitled" to a car, right?
