I lost my home do to forecloser in August of 06. These people ripped me off from the very beginning. THe insurence and taxes were to be included in the payment but they were not. My payment was higher than I was quoted.

After I suffered from two major surgries I fell behind and had to pay $6000.00 dollars which was 4 times what I was behind. They also doubled by payments. They are one of the most decptive companies I have every delt with.

We had an agreement that I could keep my house if I could pay $3000.00 plus my doubled payments. But be for the dead line to pay they sent the sherif to evicte me for my home that I had be paying on for twelve years. Please get me to someone that can help me and others that have been ripped off by this company.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

Read before you sign

AUTHOR: Kim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 18, 2007

I know Ameriquest is famous for it's dirty dealings. But I also know consumers are famous for not reading very important legal documents before signing their lives away. Regardless of what some snake in the grass loan officer told you would be your payment per month, it is YOUR responsibility to read all of your paperwork before you sign it.

At your mortgage closing, there is a Truth in Lending document that tells you your loan amount, the interest rate, and the amortization schedule. This document actually discloses your monthly payment amount. Had you read it, it would have been obvious to you that there was a discrepancy. In addition, your HUD-1 settlement statement discloses all costs and fees paid to and from the lender and all relevant parties. Had you escrowed taxes and insurance, the amounts would be disclosed on this document as well.

Now, if you DID read all of the above and found it satisfactory, then Ameriquest has made a huge error that you can prove via copies of the aforementioned paperwork. You can obtain these from the agent who closed your loan. By law, you are entitled to see copies.

What does that mean "they got me"?

What does that mean when you write that first nlc got you? Did that company violate your rights in a way similar to the way that Ameriquest had done? Please explain.

listen i am in the same situation. a bunch of guys that got fired from ameriquest for doing such illegal acts started a new company called first nlc and they got me. there is plenty you can do but it will not be fixed overnight.

first of all contact your attorney general office and banking commision file complaints also do research online you will find class action lawsuits against ameriquest with lawyers willing to help with no upfront cost, and finally contact news crews state senators anyone who is willing to hear what happened and expose them.

I am lucky in the sense that ct. attorney richard blumenthal is the one that fought ameriquest and got them to settle a nationwide lawsuit of 325 million once before and his office is personally handling my case along with my attorneys.

dont sit by and think youre stuck be loud and be strong let everyone and anyone know what this company has done. just because you no longer have your home does not mean you are not entitled to restitution for what they have done
