I, too, fell for the 'process at home' scam with Angel Stephens. (I found their ad on ratracerebellion.com. They specifically target at-home scams, but the small print says they are not responsible for ads placed on their site by google...very mis-leading). I knew the same day that it was a scam. I never got emailed the promised "training" information, so I called and they gave me a web address for the first, second and third weeks of training. As soon as I read it, I realized that you had to place advertisements on google, ect, for certain 'stores'. This, of course, costs money, and they give you one example on how to place an ad. What a joke. Advertising on the internet takes a lot of money, skill and know-how and they don't give you any training for that. (they tell you some sites to go to so you can learn how to place 'free' ads, but we all know that to get noticed, your going to have to lay down some cash.) So don't be fooled and think you'll be "up and running" that same day. No way. People actually have to click on your ad, buy something from whatever store, and YOU pay them a refund...hmmm....how does that work...how do you get paid...and the chances of all that happening are what, one in 100,000 hits?

Anyway, I called and told them that I wanted my money back. They gave me the run-around, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. He tried to give me the same bull, so I insisted that they honor their claim of "NO HASSLE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE". Actually, they say that it's DOUBLE your money back. When he was claiming that they are a legitimate company, I asked for his name. He gave me his first name, but not his last...he actually refused to give it to me...why, if you're a legit company, would you refuse to give me your full name? Before I called, I emailed their "support" to request a refund, and the emails also give you the run-around. Don't bother with the email...just call. They wanted to know why I wanted my money back. You don't have to tell them...just say that their web site says no questions asked. BE PERSISTENT! I actually got very forceful with them over the phone. The only reason they ask you why is so they can refute your reason with things like..."go through the seven weeks training" or "work one on one with an expert", blah, blah blah. When they said this to me, I said, "I WANT MY MONEY BACK, NO HASSLE, NO QUESTIONS!" The guy actually said, "Is that your final answer?"! By the way, they are all foreign. Their website has some glaring mis-spellings (I would love to tell you what they are, but I know they troll this website, and I don't want to help them out at all!). I said to the person who was giving me the run-around, "By the way, if you're pretending to be "Angel" from the U.S., you might want to check your website for the glaring mis-spellings." She actually let out a little laugh, composed herself, and then said, "The website is done by an expert"...what a joke.

Bottom line...be forceful, don't let them give you the run-around, ask to speak to a supervisor, tell them that you'll report them to the FTC, and they will refund your money. I got mine back within a week. If you refute it with your credit card company, they'll probably give you your money back, but then these scam artists still get paid and that's all they care about. Insist on a refund. Let's put these scam artists out of business. It breaks my heart to read some of the people trying to make an honest living being taken by these thieves. Please be persistent with them...on the phone...with a supervisor... and refuse the run-around. Get your money back!
