This company offered a "Process Rebates At Home" program for the amazing low price of $197. They presented the program as if you were going to be processing rebates from companies, some of them LARGE companies, and for every one you processed, you got $15!

I signed up with this because I felt I could do this just fine.

AFTER they took my $197, I find out that you are not a rebate processor UNLESS you advertise to sell other people's things AND offer a rebate to them YOURSELF!

They tell you to sign up at Clickbank and create an account. You pick the companies you like, and then....you are to place ads, etc. to get people to go to the companies website. For every purchase they make, you get a percentage. Problem is....you are supposed to offer rebates, but according to the "Terms of Service" for Clickbank, offering rebates is NOT allowed!

Anyway, I learned (too late unfortunately) that this is NOT what it appears to be. I wrote immediate emails to Angela Penbrook customer care asking what the heck I am supposed to do now? They answered with a one-liner and told me to go to Clickbank and open an accout! I asked a whole bunch of questions....and they never answered a single one of them!

I don't have time to fool around with things like this, so I decided that I would exercise my "Try it for 3 Months" ironclad guarantee. It said that if I didn't like it FOR ANY REASON, they would give me a full refund "NO QUESTIONS ASKED".

I wrote and told them I wanted a refund. They wrote back saying they would issue a refund, but they needed more information. I gave them my name and address.

I checked my online bank statment and it was listed as memo (which means the original charge had not been posted yet) so I figured they would just cancel it before it was posted!

NOT SO! I looked today to see what was going on wit it on my bank statement. It always give you the name and phone number of the charge. SURE ENOUGH...$197 had been taken out of my account!

The name was EASYIN, and an 866 phone number. I called the number to speak to someone about getting this refunded. The number was a bogus conference number!!! It had a recording that said if you wanted to learn more about setting up a conference call, to dial xxx-xxx-xxxx. I called THAT number and it is a phone company that deals with conference calls, and she had NOOOO Idea who EasyIn was or anything about it!

I wrote AGAIN to Customerservice@angelapenbrooke.com screaming at them to refund the money they promised....and I will let you know if I hear anything back from them.

STAY AWAY FROM ANGELA PENBROOK REBATE PROCESSING!!! There are other sites that advertise for the same thing, and if you look at their ads, they are all the same basically except the pictures of the testimonials are different. If you click and go to a site that starts out "Process From Home"

After numerous emails to customercare with very little progress, I called the number on the website. They told me they had "lost my record", and took all the information again. They told me it would be 5-7 working days before it would be refunded to my bank account.

Since I had been getting the "royal run-around" for weeks, I decided this would probably be just another run-around too. I was not sure what course of action to take next, but I filed a complaint with the BBB that handles Irvine, CA (http://la.bbb.org), and the IC3 (http://www.ic3.gov/), which is in partnership with the FBI, and the Internet Fraud division of the FBI.

I waited the 5-7 business days they told me to wait, and then called them again. This time, I used a different number I had found: 800-785-8042. She said she saw that my refund had been processed on the 14th and it would be in the bank by the end of today since today was the 7th day. She said if it was not...to call them tomorrow.

I have online access to my account, so this morning I checked...and sure enough....it's there!!! I don't know if filing complaints with these other agencies had anything to do with it, but I know it did not hurt anything...especially if it keeps other people from falling into Penbrook's trap!

I also found that the BBB classes Penbrook as a rating of F...which is "THE PITS", literally. As of this morning, they have 84 complaints about Penbrook, and 10 of them they are returning the money to, 1 they refuse to refund (can't imagine WHY not) and 73 complaints have been "unanswered".

I am convinced that going to Penbrook alone will NOT get your money back. They run you in circles. You need to get some "Clout" on your side, and the government is nothing to be fooled with. Getting "Official" complaints from the BBB and the FBI seems to tend to make them alot more cooperative!

I URGE ALL of you that have been ripped off, to file complaints at the BBB and IC3 IMMEDIATELY! It's FREE to file......you've got absolutely nothing to lose by filing, and your $197 to gain....PLUS maybe if enough of us complain.....they will shut Penbrook Productions down so no one else becomes a victim as we did.

I am so mad about this that I think I have steam coming out of my ears. Course it's not just because of the scam itself, but because I was stupid enough to fall for it in the first place.

I have found a place that MAY be able to help ALL of us. I URGE you to ALL go there and file a complaint against this company or whatever you want to call it.

Keep your "evidence" in paper form. Print it all out!!!

Here's the website to go to.....it seems like a glimmer of hope. Keep me posted on if you go or not and what results you get.


It is the Internet Crime Complaint Center, and is a partnership between the FBI, National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). It is a government agency, so what do you have to lose. It's FREE to file unlike the $197 we've been ripped off for with Angela Penbrook!
