I was in Las Vegas in April of 2008. Was walking around the Forum Shops at the Caesars Palace and stumbled upon a framed band poster autographed by all the band members. I was assured by the sales rep the signatures were authentic and would come with a COA. I paid $500 and had them ship this item to my place in Los Angeles. I've since moved several times and this framed poster was sitting in a box the majority of time. Recently, I've decided to sell this poster because I am moving again and am not going to need it anymore. I don't know why, but I was going to try to offer to sell this poster back to the store where I bought it. (my plan b was to list it on eBay) With it being so rare, I figured they may be interested and could find another buyer for it. I wanted to make sure they were still in business, so I looked up their exact coordinates on the attached Certificate of Authenticity. I googled it and the search brought up Yelp! review pages. I didn't know these people sold fakes before I read some of the reviews. The store looked solid enough and had many expensive items. Why would I question them? But I did a bit of digging, and was very surprised to find a Twitter post by the band leader who was presented with a picture of an item with signatures identical to those on my poster, saying these are all fake. Indeed, after more research I found what the real autographs by these musicians look like and they are not even close! It's clear that these Certificates of Authenticity are issued by the same hacks who fake these signatures and display them for sale at this shop. It's not even about the $500 for me. I was actually expecting to sell this thing for $100 tops! But knowing now that these signatures are total fakes, it would be unethical and immoral for me to attempt to sell it for even a $1! I see other people here have filed complaints. If all of you want to get together and file a class action, count me in! I'm not looking for a compensation at this point, it is just a matter of principle. I can't stand crooks taking advantage of hard working people.
