Apple Computer Apple of whose Eyes ?? Silicon Valley California

I bought a Apple Mac from the bookstore of UCSB and also bought a ipod nano for $199 as they had a promotion going on to buy the ipod with the apple mac and get the money back as the mail in rebate.

After the purchase within 3 days I submitted my rebate information on the Apple Website and as per their requirment mailed them the rebate form on the address provided. 3 months passed and when I contacted them for the rebate -I was in for a shock as I was told they never received my rebate form( this was the first undeliverd mail which never came back to me.!!!)

On my request the customer service person informed me that the online rebate submission was indeed made but they can not give me my rebate as they did not receive the rebate form in the mail .When I told them that since they already have my information ontheir website with the serial no. of the unit and the date purchased -what is the issue and I was told that they can only give me discount vouchers which would be good if I make more purchases with Apple .

After hours of holding my phone to speak with the supervisors - the custmore service personell would come back and say that at that time there is no supervisor available.I tried at least three times and after spending hours talking to different person -I found that I am indeed taken for a ride by this company.
It is so shamefull for a company of this repute to dupe its loyal customers.

With this forum ,I would like them to see reason and issue me my dues otherwise I will have no other alternative left but to report this to Better bussiness Bureau and also file a complaint in the small claims court.
