BEWARE!

ITS ALL ABOUT APPLE HONDA OF YORK,PA-17404

WHEN I VISITED THEM FIRST TIME THEY GAVE ME GREAT PRICE OF 2013 HONDA ACCORD EX-L FOR $26935. I MAKE A MIND TO PURCHASE THAT VEHICLE. SALES PERSON MARKUS PROVIDE ME RIGHT NUMBER FOR MONTHLY INSTALLMENT OF $471.85 I AGREE WITH THAT PAYMENT AT 1.99% APR. I PROVIDE THEM WITH MY ALL DETAILS AND SSN AS WELL TO CHECK CREDIT WITH ONLY HONDA FINANCE. MY CREDIT SCORE WAS EXCELLENT LIKE 760. THEY CHECK MY CREDIT WITH 12 DIFFERENT FINANCE GROUP EVEN I ASKED THEM NOT TO CHECK WITH OTHER THAN HONDA. EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD ME HONDA FINANCE DECLINED YOUR FINANCE APPLICATION BECAUSE YOU ARE IMMIGRANT AND ONLY HAVE 2 YEARS AND 6 MONTH ON YOUR CREDIT HISTORY. THEY ASK ME TWO WAY I CAN STILL PURCHASE THAT VEHICLE. ONE YOU GO WITH OTHER FINANCE GROUP WITH 4.49% APR OR BRING COSIGNEE WHO IS GREENCARD OR CITIZEN OF USA AND THEY PROMISE ME THEY WONT HIT MY CREDIT AGAIN. I ARRANGE MY RELATIVES WITH EXCELLENT CREDIT SCORE TO BE MY COSIGNER. THIS TIME I STRICKLY ASK THEM TO NOT CHECK WITH ANYOTHER FINANCE GROUP. THEY STILL DID SAME THING WITH MY COSIGNER AND ADD TWO MORE HITS TO MY CREDIT AS WELL. WHICH BRING MY CREDIT SCORE DOWN TO 747. BESIDE THAT I GOT REJECTION ON MY CREDIT SCORE AS WELL. WHEN I TRY TO CONTACT THEM THEY DONT ANSWER MY CALL AND DONT PROVIDE ME WITH RESONS TO DENIES MY FINANCE APPLICATION.

IF SOMEONE CAN SUGGEST HOW TO HANDLE SITUATION.

Get your financing from a credit union, not the dealership

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

POSTED: Sunday, September 22, 2013

The best way to prevent the dealership from running your credit multiple times is to go to a credit union to get your financing. First of all, most dealerships will add a couple of points to the interest rate that you actually qualify for on a purchase, especially if you have negotiated a good price on the vehicle. They actually make more money on the financing than they do on the vehicle sale itself.

To protect yourself and your credit you are much better off going directly to your credit union to get vehicle financing. When the dealer offer's to "beat the rate" of the credit union then you can say 'no' and then they don't have permission to run your credit. The reasons the dealer gave you for the higher rate just doesn't make any sense. It is their way to make your rate much higher so the dealer increases their revenue. You avoid all of this by having your financing lined up with the credit union prior to shopping for a vehicle.

It's not too late for you. But if I were you I wouldn't go back to that dealer anyway, you know what they are capable of now. Your score is still in the decent range. Go to a credit union for your financing and you will be much happier. They only pull one time, not many times.
