I started up with Arise back in December 2007.  After going through the trouble of incorporating, I signed up for a client training which I had to pay for.  The training was not adequate.  I started working for the client and soon realized that it wasn't for me so I ended my contract.  April 2009, I signed up to work for another client that is very well known in the resort/theme park industry.  Unfortunately, there were never enough hours.  I had to end my contract because the hours were limited.  The requirement was that I had to work at least 20 hrs a week with 5 hours on a weekend day.  I couldn't even make that because they overhired.  In addition, the pay was demeaning.  They paid us per call with no minimum per hour rate as an alternative.  The pay was in increments according to how long the call took.  This is basically punishing the agent for trying to provide great customer service.  I had to end that contract.  November 2009, I signed up to work for another opportunity, which was a joke.  The client was unprepared for a new product release and had archaic software which allowed us to NOT be able to service the customers the way they should've been serviced.  We could not get the minimum per week hours on this client as well.  In addition, the support for the chat facilitators was a joke.  When we didn't meet the minimum weekly hours, we were emailed with threats of being released.  I tried to get out of the application when I was emailed by the client results manager who coaxed me into staying on board.  January 2010 came, and I couldn't work the shifts that were available, so I was released from my contract.  I had to wait 30 days before enrolling in another opportunity.  As of 2/15/2010, I have tried to enroll in a total of 5 opportunities and was denied all 5 of them with no explanation.  I honestly believe it's because they want me to pay out of my own pocket for training.  They gave me and some other reps from the last client $150 voucher toward additional training.  This expires 4/30/2010, and they are refusing to honor it.  I ended my contract today.  I advise everyone to stay away from this company.  They are disrespectful to the contractors and provide little to no support.  In addition, the cost of running your own business does not equate the amount of money you would make.  It's a bad company.

Temper Tantrum

AUTHOR: Mieke - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

BRANDON, it is you who is untruthful. I have more years on you not only with Arise, but in life in general. You do not like the reality, so you are throwing a tantrum, taking you ball and going home. Grow up already.

All full time agents I know have more than one client myself included. You can not earn a FT living with one client.. even Arise will tell you that. You have more than one to make up for the call volume changes with your vast call center knowledge, you should know that!

If you are so wonderful and such a talented worker, WHY were you limited to just Arise for over two years..? Um, because you are not as wonderful & talented as you think. To be passed over for FIVE opportunities is a metrics issue, plain and simple. I have personally had multiple vouchers and have never had an issue using any of them ever. Your metrics were likely bad and you could not get an opportunity as a result. That is your fault. So, I am curious.. what was you overall CA..? Let me guess.. 100%, right? Doubtful.

I have never, I repeat NEVER average less than $8 / hour.. Even that is a low for me. If you not making what you think you should, improve. It really is as simple as that. Arise will not pay those who are unwilling to do their work why should they? I have had my fill of watching others with their hands out wanting the same or more than what others who work for it have. That is why I like Arise you work, you get paid. You dont work, you dont get paid and move on to throwing fits on the internet.

I have every right on the planet to call out a person throwing a hissy fit as opposed to reporting fact. So, Brandon for every lie you post for every untruth you try to pass off as your experience, there will be a comment left. You want to post fact, then by all means.. but you are being untruthful and I think you know it. If you dont, then you have some serious delusions of grandeur.

Mieke is untruthful!

AUTHOR: BRAY1980A - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 19, 2010

Arise has made it terribly difficult.  When I worked for one client, they paid less than $1.00 per call even when those calls lasted up to 1 hr.  On that client, I was required to book reservations for restaurants at a major resort.  How can you earn a living on that. How can I be untruthful with my claim?  I tried to give them a chance by working various clients.  It was with the last client that I realized that it was Arise, not the client.

By the way, I have worked for other call centers (in house and virtually).  I even helped create one.  I know how a business should work as opposed to how one does work.

You do not have the right to say that I am untruthful when you do not know the whole story.  Stop criticizing my experiences with the company.

Arise Scam

AUTHOR: BRAY1980A - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 19, 2010

It is a scam.  I only stayed contracted with them for 2 years because it was the only thing out there and I couldn't work outside of the house.  My metrics were totally fine.

Calling Arise a Scam, but you stayed 2+ years..?

AUTHOR: Mieke - (U.S.A.)

To be passed up for five opportunities usually indicates an issue with your metrics (how well you perform). I have had numerous vouchers over the years and have never had an issue using them, so I doubt that is the cause. Were your metrics good?

So tell me, if they are so bad, why did it take you years to figure it out? If they are not a good company, why did you stay? I am not sure how much credibility you have when you call something you earned an income from, and stayed with for over two years, a scam & a rip off .

For those reading, Brandon is not being 100% truthful.if you are unable to get the minimum due to changes in call volume (i.e. the mouse pulling back some hours) you are not expected to adhere to the minimum. However, you are expected to service a certain number of hours per week if they are available. If the hours that are left do not suit you, be on time for posting next time. If you are late, you get scraps. YOU agreed to work a minimum number of hours during a certain time of day. It is not their fault if you 'could not work' the remaining hours because you were late for the release.

Tech issues can be frustrating, but it helps ever so much when your work PC meet the minimum requirements (those pesky tech issues do not seem to occur as often). While the compensation is not what it used to be, I am still able to average a solid $13 / hour most client pay for performance. To earn the top pay, you have to perform.

I do believe we have another case of sour grapes
