I am generating this report in protest to the deceptive and dishonest sales practices of arrow truck sales located at 9003 interstate 10 east converse texas 78109 chuck steenken ( salesman ). I will only state the facts of my unfortunate experience and not include any personal feelings or emotion that are in result of what I am reporting. Let me begin.

In May of 2018, I made a life changing decision based upon financial research to become an owner operator of my own class 8 semi truck. I looked around at the semi truck dealerships in the surrounding area of Bexar county San Antonio tx and called arrow truck sales at 210-945-2200. Chuck Steenken, salesman at arrow truck sales, answered the phone. After talking to him for around 5 minutes , I figured that I would go to the dealership and look at a truck. The salesman was good mannered and everyone there seemed to be as well. I informed chuck steenken that I am not mechanically inclined and that I was putting all of my trust in him to sell me a decent truck. Chuck steenken told me not to worry and that he would "take care of me". After looking at the selection I took time to think about making a purchase. In that time chuck steenken called me several times to sell me a truck.

At the end of may, i finally went back to purchase a truck. I asked to test drive one and they let me along with chuck steenken for the ride. I test drove a 2012 mack cxu613 with a 70in. Sleeper. The previous owner Timothy Gxxxxxx traded it in to Austin Pell ( arrow truck sales branch manager ) as told to me by chuck steenken because he was getting out the oil field business. The front bumper was bent and the truck was dirty from use. They replaced the bumper with a new one and cleaned it up for sale. I reiterated to chuck steenken that I was trusting him 100% not to sell me that would break down on me early on. He and Austin pell told me that it's a used truck and they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't break down.

I understood this but i made clear to them that I couldn't afford to fix a truck at this time nor could i afford to purchase or lease a brand new one. They suggested that I buy an extended warranty, which I did for piece of mind. According to arrow truck sales chuck steenken and branch manager austin pell, all trucks brought in and sold are inspected by them and repaired if necessary. Or else, in chuck steenken's words, " we won't even put it out there on the lot to sell " . I told chuck steenken in front of austin pell before purchasing the truck that i understood if the truck broke down 6 months from purchase or even 3 months from purchase i could understand and chuck said i wouldn't have any problem. "Besides, you're buying a warranty ", said chuck steenken. And he knew that the warranty didn't cover everything on the truck, but he sold me the truck anyway. So there i go signing for a truck financed by transport funding at 17% apr.

Even with my credit score of over 720 I was receiving a 17% apr. The woman who is in charge of the finance at arrow truck sales charlene Connolly said that transport fundings' finance rates start at 12% and go up to 22%. She said just pay it off early. I didn't like any of this but I told myself that I would make money and I would prosper and pay off my truck soon, so I signed. Here is where the problems got worse, and once again I will only state the facts of my tragic experience. I started with the company triple m t ( i will generate a rip off report about this company soon after I finish this one ) who brought me aboard without any cdl experience. They set me up with a trainer in the field of sand fracking. Right off the bat the gentleman noticed a small crack in the windshield and told me that it was an inspection violation. He asked me when did I incur the damage and I said I bought it like that. Arrow truck sales claimed that they gave the truck a dekra inspection and dot inspection and said that the truck was good to go before I purchased it. Windshields are part of the inspection.

They went ahead and sold it to me anyway. Next the gentleman training me heard a hissing sound coming from under the driver side seat. He looked at it and saw that the air lines were leaking. I thought that the hissing sound was normal but he looked at me like i was stupid and said, " Hell no it ain't normal! " The gentleman asked me when I incurred the damage and I said that i bought it like that. Arrow truck sales claims to inspect the trucks that they sell yet even with a test drive of the truck mentioned with arrow truck sales salesman chuck steenken in the truck with me on the test drive, they went ahead and sold me the truck anyway with leaking air lines. Later on because of the leaking air lines the transmission wouldn't operate nor would the brakes. The whole time i was operating the truck the alternator was draining my batteries. The alternator went out on me in a week that i used the truck , and I called chuck steenken and told him. As a matter of fact each time I discovered an issue i called chuck steenken and told him about it because the platinum warranty that i purchased through national truck protection didn't cover anything that I was having problems with. By this time chuck steenken didn't want to hear anything from me. He said that he was getting "aggravated" with me calling him. I told him to put himself in my shoes, he didn't know what to say. I told chuck that I wouldn't have bought the truck if i knew that this was going to happen and I asked him if arrow truck sales would fix my truck and he said that he would talk to austin pell arrow truck sales branch manager. Austin pell told chuck steenken to tell me that arrow truck sales would not fix my truck or pay for it to be fixed.

I was already being taken advantage of by Rea trade inc. ( another company i will be writing about ) i had no paycheck yet so I couldn't go on operating. I borrowed some money and took my truck to the mack service center on ih 35n and wiedner rd. The cost was $1350.00 dollars. I paid it but i had to give the trailer i was renting back to Rea trade inc. so i could get my deposit back. Unfortunately they didn't give me my deposit back soon enough and I was out of business. I was not going to rent from Rea trade inc. again because they were ripping me off. So now I'm stuck with a truck and no work. I did everything right to get started in this business. I told chuck steenken that I didn't know anything about trucks and put complete trust in him and what i wrote above is what I got. If someone reads this and considers me a sucker, that's fine because never before have i ever been suckered into anything. It would be most honorable for arrow truck sales to take back the truck, refund me my down payment, and cease these deceptive sales tactics. And for any person thinking of me as a moron remember this , what goes around comes around. Keep that in mind because as stated in the bible, you reap what you sow.
