Ashworth College Not Accredited through the correct organization Ripoff Norcross Georgia

*Consumer Comment: National Accreditation & Transfer Of Credits

*Consumer Comment: transfer of credits

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Ashworth college states that it is accredited, they are accredited through an organization that THEY created. Your credits will not even transfer to a community college. They will not refund your money. They will send you notices from a creditor. They own this company as well. Nothing will show on your credit. It is a big scam. They send you books to read, that is it.

National Accreditation & Transfer Of Credits

AUTHOR: Bigpappa - (U.S.A.)

I emphathize with your situation. However, Ashworth College is accredited by the DETC (Distance Edcation and Training Council), which a National Accreditation Agency. The DETC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council on Higher Educatoin (CHEA). Accrediting agencies are divided into national, regional, and vocational specific; and even if a school is accredited by one of these ligitimate agencies, it is always up to the discretion of the receiving institution to receive transfer credits. I have graduated from two major universities and both have accepted transfer credits from an institution accredited by the DETC without any question. Furthermore, to help with your situation contact the ACE (American Council On Education) College Credit Recommendation Service ( and they may be able to help you get your credits reviewed and transcripted so that they will transfer. Also, whenever transferring credits to another institution, be sure to talk to the registrar directly and make an appeal based on the schools accredtation; the registrar can make the decision to accept the credits.

transfer of credits

AUTHOR: Bonnie - (U.S.A.)

I attend a major university in ohio and I recently transfered math credits into my home school where i also attend while studying nursing. I am studying criminal justice with ashworth and i have never had any problems with them, they have been awesome to me, even when i have 4gotten a payment. My school accepted math/algebra credits earned from ashworth with no problem and that has saved me from needing to take it twice. i dont attend a community college, I attend a major university and Go Bucks! and go ashworth! better luck next time...
