After some digging, I found that this Asknet Inc sells IObit software.  Now, this software is actually rather nice as I have used it IN THE PAST. I have had my current computer for well over a year, and I do not have IObit installed on it. So imagine my surprise when I got an email saying that I was charged $79.97 from this company!

Doing somemore research, I found that this company says that I entered into a renewal contract with them in October of 2017 to renew every year. Even though I don't have this software on my computer. Now why would I do that?

The software is good, I am not disputing that.  I am, however, disputing their methods of getting people to use the software. WHY ON EARTH would I sign up for this when it's not even on my computer and never has been? I used it on an old computer that I gave to my daughter about two or three years ago.  TWO YEARS AGO, MINIMUM. TWO YEARS.

She does not use the software and has deleted it. Nobody in our house has this software on their computer. It's good software, but I don't want it, and I certainly don't want to be charged for it, and then LIED TO and be told that I entered into an agreement that I should be charged ANNUALLY for something that I DON'T USE!

Good software; bad company. I am disputing the purchase, naturally, as I do not use the software nor have I used it in the past couple of years, at LEAST. This is a despicable practice, unfortunately, for a good product.  The company needs to review their moral standards.
