Received card with statement that my limit was $1700. Spent about $500, then card was refused for going over limit. I now owe $1,373.22 going on 2 years.

When I send in payments, they mysteriously get lost, or credited the day after it is due. This results in additional late fees and an overlimit fee of $35.00. They have called me up to 15 times in one day, even on a Sunday-I would hang up on them and they would call right back. They have called me at work even when told not to. They have been verbally abusive and threatening. They made me a "deal" that would no longer charge me a late fee or over limit fee if I paid a minimum of $10.00 a month.

I agreed, then the calls started again; they didn't get my payment, but for $25 I could post-date a check electronically. I asked for the agreement in writing, but they told me they don't work that way.

Their constant calls, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:p.m. have caused a serious strain in my marriage, we can't eat or sleep without being disturbed. They told me they will call me as many times as they want to, and there is nothing I can do about it. Most of the time you talk to someone, they have such a heavy accent you can't understand a word they say. They claim they never gave me such a high limit--I sent them a copy of the letter, but they never got it. I have called them on the phone, and sometimes I can't access anything or get to a real person. I told them I might as well not pay anymore, they have ruined my credit anyway-they told me they would never quit calling, even if I change my number. I sent them 2 payments in December 2003-one for January and one for February-in different envelopes, and they combined it for January payment, so I still owe for February. This company needs to be stopped

I too found Aspires' main numbers at the Atlanta BBB for Ms Gwen Clark. My saga with Aspire is been going on ever since July of 03, so I would be most interested if your correspondance is answered as I have sent notification to Ms Clark to either credit my payment to a account I never received or face strong litigation measures in a Tennessee Court Room. Send a certified, return receipt requested letter stating that telephone contact is no longer permitted-contact by physical mail only allowed. This worked for me. They did contact me once, but I told them they were in violation of my rights and the law, and they better check the mail they have from me to verify it. Also send your payments this way-your account must be credited on the day it is RECEIVED, not the day they get around to opening it. Good luck to all, and let's do our best to get Aspire out of business!

Aspire is back to hounding me day and night, but I finally found some info that may be useful to everyone. The chairman's name is David Hanna abd the executive Corresponce staff is Gwen Clark. Their phone number is 888-522-2278 and fax is 770-206-6181. This is for CompuCredit Corporation, but it is still Aspire-they use more than 1 name for their businesses. They also use Emerge Mastercard for a business name. If you go to www.atlanta.bbb.org/commonreport.com you can get a listing of all their phone numbers and information on complaints filed-892 total in last 3 years! I e-mailed Gwen Clark today with complaints-will let you know outcome. Also mailed certified letter to stop calls, contact by mail only. They received it yesterday, so will see if they comply as required by law. According to them, I am a bad customer, but that didn't stop them from sending my husband a pre-approved offer! I urge all to file complaints with all possible agencies-FTC, FCC, FBI, Atty general, etc. Use this as one of your addresses: The Better Business Bureau of West Georgi-East Alabama-SouthWest Georgia, PO BOX 2587, Columbus, GA 31902 Phone 706-324-0712. Let's stop these people before they ruin more lives!
