Stay away from AIM Research of Long Beach.

So a week before, I talked to a recruiter who said I was scheduled to participate in a movie goers focus group in Long Beach at 8PM. They sent me an email asking for a confirmation reply, but strangely they called me 2 days later asking more questions. Afterward, they said they would have to check with the supervisor to see if I should come in or not, so they told me to await their call. I waited and sent out emails but no replies. I've called to see if I'm still scheduled but no response. 

AIM threatens to cut you off their list if you're ever late or skip, and seeing as how I didn't want to end up on that list, I drove down to Long Beach from L.A. in peak traffic conditions. Got to Long Beach by 6 to grab some food before I go in. Then Reina finally emails me back, saying that I'm not scheduled anymore.

I'm upset but I calmly tell her to explain how this happened, and she tells me whoever I talked to must not have communicated well, and should have told me ahead of time. I asked to be compensated for gas, as it is their fault for not informing me ahead of time, but she says she doesn't have any power to do so, and that was the extent of her help. I asked for the name of the employee, to which she said she'll get back to me soon and never did. Unfortunately, professionalism is not a value this company embraces well, as you can tell by the review below.

Thanks for wasting my time, my gas, and my schedule that was reserved for other things.
