A warning to anyone considering enrolling in associated training services heavy equipment operator training program,
dont waste your time or money on these deceptive crooks!!!

I enrolled in the program and 3 years later and still have not
found employment in this field.the staff at the school tell you how easy it is to get into.I Assure it is not.excavating companies are some what hostile to people on the outside trying
to get in. the point is you either have to know someone or be born into a family that owns a excavating business.

the school actualy teaches very little skills that translate,
into tasks that you would use on the job.you do a lot of
mathamatical calculations that just take a lot of time.
and give you no skills.also they charge you $450 dollars
for the required manuels for the course /BIG RIP OFF!!!

They also hype up the so called job placement they offer to
students.what it actually consists of is a printout of excavating contractors in the area you live in.
what a joke! I can do the same thing by looking in the phone book.also the job placement person is rude and unhelpfull.

the hands on training on the equipment was a joke. basicly
you went out and dug holes and filled them in while the instructors sat in their trucks on their asses offering no
advice.no instruction on how to work the equipment with respect
to following info on grade stakes (cut or fill)

The financial assistance is also a scam 19%interest
they really pressure students to finance with them.
students can also finance their room and board at a residence
hotel also owned by them.I unfortunately fell for their crap.
the hotel owned by them is called the Watertower residence Inn.
they treat the students like children.not grown men.
no alcohol allowed they didnt change the linen for a week.
this school also has a bad reputation in sun prarie.

people i talked to in town all said associated training schools
were ripoffs.

many of the companies i have sought employment with have heard
about associated, and they all said the same thing, that you picked the wrong school. they dont teach you any thing.

AVOID THESE RIPOFF SCUMBAGS!!!!

First of all, thank you for this opportunity to reply to the complaint regarding our school. It is unfortunate that the gentleman who registered this complaint has not been able to find work, however, it could be due to a number of reasons. An excessive criminal history, bad work references, a person's geography, a poor driving record, and a person's attitude can all affect the ability for a person to find placement in a job. Our school does what it can to help every student who walks through the door with placement. We work with thousands of companies all over the nation and have been very successful, as have most of our graduates when it comes to job placement. Our job placement percentage it approximately 85%.

As far as curriculum, our schools are NCCER certified (www.nccer.org) and all of our instructors are certified NCCER instructors.
Our program covers the latest equipment involved in the earth moving trade such as backhoes, wheel loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, scrapers, bulldozers, compactors, hydraulic and telescoping excavators, and motor graders. Our training also includes important skills like laser/grade reading, grading/excavating, site plans/layout, water truck, equipment maintenance, first aid, underground utilities, construction safety, soils, and compaction.
The books and manuals involved with the training are available for use at no extra charge.

Our training is half classroom and half hands on, giving students the opportunity to operate and perform similar tasks with the machines as they would at an actual job site. All hands on training operations are supervised by skilled NCCER certified instructors.

The financing offered by the school is through a private lender. This is a credit based student loan and its rates are determined by credit and credit history. If a person has poor, or little to no credit they may find that their interest rates may be higher. As would be the case with ANY type of loan. This is offered as a financial option for students and is in no way a requirement. The financing can cover the cost of housing and living expenses as well.

We have housing available near the school, as we are the owners of The Watertower Inn. This is an OPTION for students and we offer very affordable hotel rates at only $75 per week. The hotel is used by students who are interested in learning and being responsible, not by people who are looking to party and drink. We do enforce a no alcohol policy to provide students with a quiet and positive environment for studying and relaxation.

I hope this sums up some of the confusion that anyone may have had after reading the fallacious post by Brian from Bloomington, MN. Questions regarding our school can be answered by calling us at 1-800-383-7364. Thank you.
