Dear sir, I would like too report what is to me a 'Scam'.
On the 13th of october, this year ( 2008 ) I was contacted by telephone, Informing me that I had "WON" a free holiday to Florida, As you can imagine, I was very surprised, ( I had ticked a box asking where I would like to go in America for a holiday 'If ' I won a holiday) But being 67 years of age and 'not' in the best of health, I didn't really expect to win anything.
So when the person I was talking to said, It was 'HOTMAIL' who were promoting It, and I was the Only one from the UK to have won, It did seem to be plausible, and therefore I listened to what he had to say, But, instead of having to pay a deposit, he informed me I would have to pay 798 Dollars! that is 473.71, I told him that it was impossible to pay that amount because I only had 100,00 in my account.
The response I got from him was "TOO LATE" we have already taken it out! you must of had more than you think in your account, I defininately did NOT give him permssion to take money out of my account!!
I know how much I had! because being a Pensioner I have to be careful of how I spend my money, I did have a 300 overdraft in place, in case of emergencies, and what he did was to go over that amount and put me in the 'Red', consequently, I had to borrow money to put myself back in the black, and now I am in debt to other people because of his behaviour.
They had given me a e-mail address, and telephone number to contact them if I had any doubts about anything that worried me, Well, I have tried to phone them with NO reply, and I have sent e-mails with NO response.
So PLEASE if you can do anything about this I would be very grateful, I just want my money back, and no more hassle, and a peacful life.

Hello' I must say today is a much Happier day for me! After trying to get in touch with ASTAR, for the last four-five weeks, I had all but gave up trying to get my money back! And then I decided to involve my bank, originaly they told me it was partly MY fault!! But after insisting on talking to someone who would LISTEN to what i had to say, They relented, And after i had explained exactly what had happened, and it was NOT my fault, They decided that what ASTAR had done, Was in fact, FRAUD, And on that basis they decided to fight my case.
And yesterday, I had letter from the bank informing me that my case had been settled, So today i went down to my bank to make sure there was no mistake, And sure enough, all the money has been paid back into my account.
I would just like to say to all the people who work for you, And of course yourself, A very big 'THANK YOU'!! It proves as long as there is people like yourselves out there, we can take on and WIN against the SHYSTERS of this world!!!!
