ASTAR HOLIDAYS The amount of R4296.42 was debited from my credit card. Tampa Florida

On april 30th 2009 i was contacted by a guy named Peter from ASTAR travel stating that i've won an amazing holiday package for me and my husband and two kids. I was shocked and he still asked me why am i not excited by this amazing holiday. He explained that the reason for his call was only to confirm my details so that they can book my tickets and send them via mail, which i only received on 28 may 2009.

When asked to confirm my credit card details i was very reluctant and wanted to know why they need that on which was replied that on the day of my reservation bookings i will need to pay 899 us dollars for certain fees. I was then handed over to someone else to confirm my details and was told that im not making any payments on that specific day. Ive asked them several times if there are going to be any costs involved with this holiday and i was told that i will only be liable for my own transport costs air tickets ect. which for me was a huge concern because ive never travel overseas before and have no idea how much airline tickets would be.

I would certainly not want a free holiday if im not able to afford the travelling expenses and they assure me i will get discount on my airline tickets aswell providing i book long in advance. Before ending the call i asked them if this can be cancelled once i've received the tickets and have read throug everything and they said yes. After receiving my tickets which stated i had a balance due of 499 i've realized something is not right and on my statement it showed that 499 was debited on that same day of the call.
