My boyfriend received a letter in the mail that he had won the lottery out of a pool of $275,000.000. The letter stated that the numbers that he picked were choosen for a payout of $3800.00. The letter also stated (in bold prints) that he was to call Kelvin Polosky at the number that was given to activate the claim before he tried to deposit of cash this check. It also stated that we were to be taxed $2880.00 for non-resident witholding charges.

We did everything the letter told us to do. We tried several times to call Mr.Kelvin Polosky, but we kept getting his answer machine. "You have reached Jim Balls.The message box is full and can no longer take message," is what the operator would say and then the phone would hang up.

We thought about going ahead to deposit the check in to our bank account. Of it was chose to Christmas we had not got our children any gifts so we were very excited to receive this check. Something just didn't seattle right with me about the check. Yes, it looked very real. The number we were calling was fake. I went online to look for a legal number to call this company, but several reports of the very same company appeared up on my screen. They had sent several our people the same letter and the same check as ours.

Good thing one of us works, so we were able to get our children something for Christmas. Just imagine how disappointed we would have been if this check was the only thing that we were relying on.

I am guessing that the guy who did this is in jail. If not the United States need to take far actions in finding this guy. He is going people false hopes, and there is no telling how many more letters and checks he has done like this.
