The only reason I am giving one star, is because I am unable to give zero. This may be a decent company, but conned my wife into signing a contract for work. Told her that she was just signing an estimate and it did not mean anything. Come to find out it was a legally binding contract for Atlroof. to deal with the insurance company directly, and we had to use them for any work done. After three days from signing the contract and you cancel, you will be required to pay 25% of the total estimate even if work is not done. This is crazy for just doing a free estimate like they stated they were doing. I don't want anyone else to get pressured into signing anything. Also get multiple estimates before deciding what company to use. Also deal directly with our insurance. In their contract, if there is any overpayment, it goes directly to Atlroof and not the home owner. Sound like they are pulling one over on you. THEY ARE RIP OFFS.

Deductible

It sounds like you are trying to get out of paying your deductible.
You signed your signature on your insurance policy agreeing to all the terms, which means you agree to pay your deductible.
Do you think insurance GIANTS are really insurance BABIES? Do you think they don't know how much roofs cost? They buy hundreds if not thousands of roofs every year. Do you think they are going to pay a contractor tons of money?
I've sold roofs based on insurance approval (contingency contract). Why would someone waste their time telling your wife this contract is for an estimate only?
You are lying no company wants to waste time, I have had liars just like you say the same nonsense. Why didn't your wife read the contract see was signing? If your wife really thought it was just for an estimate, she must be an idiot.

The more i have read, the more i learned, this is a common scam these roofing guys are using. I asked for an estimate and was tricked into a legal binding contract. Yes the leftover proceeds were to go back to atlroof, this is not right, and the insurance companies will suffer, then increase rates affecting everyone.

I have worked for roofing companies who do a contingency contract with homeowners. This is perfectly legal. You said "In their contract, if there is any overpayment, it goes directly to Atlroof and not the home owner."
First, I don't believe there contract would say this, I believe you are twisting the words of the contract. Why would the Homeowner receive additional money?
Filing an insurance claim is not like winning the lottery, that money is to be ONLY for fixing your roof. You are the one trying to not live up to your insurance contract. Read your insurance policy, it says you will pay your deductible in the event of a claim.
