Anthony Dye took full payment for an 8 week season for the 16U age group. He knowingly put 17U aged players on the team yet put them in 16U tournaments then lied about it.

There has been no communication and no practice/training or tournaments for this team for the entire month of July. Anthony Dye has made himself scarce and took the money with him. He stole my son's opportunity to be seen this summer by lieing about the roster and not putting him in front of scouts as promissed. And he stole my money as I paid for a service that he failed to provide.

Anthony Dye met with parents and lied repeatedly saying he was getting more players and we would train and play games. Since that night nearly 4 weeks ago I have not seen him or heard from him.

He might put his 17U team in tournaments, but he will take as much money as he can from 16U and 15U parents promise a season of baseball then disappear with the money.

He is a bold faced liar, and if you're smart you'll avoid this program at all costs. I am sure he got some top players noticed, but there are much better more reputal programs out there. Don't allow this man to continue to commit fraud to so many people.

For those that try to defend him - ask the unpaid coaches what they think of him! Also notice lots of his tournaments are last minute as he waits to see if a team drops out so he can take their place and avoid paying full price even though he's taken full price from his players.

SERVE HIM NOW, IN JAIL

AUTHOR: Relief - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 20, 2016

Anyone who has been trying to have Anthony Dye served can do so now at Gwinnett County jail. React quickly. He has avoided service successfully for so long, but they WILL serve him in jail.

needed info

Will you please provide any coaches' names that were involved with the 16U team this past year?  We know about a coach PJ (?), but would like to get names of the other coaches as well.  Do you know which ones quit and which were fired/let go?  Some previous employees would like to get all employees together to deal with this matter.  There are several form years past who are still owed money.  Not that we will get the money, but we feel it's wrong what this "organization" is doing.  Thank you so much for your help.

Don't be used

AUTHOR: Care - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 08, 2016

You paid, your kid was a good player, so of course he (AD) wanted to be sure your $ came back next year. It will make him look good. He's so good at making you all believe his side of the story. For YEARS he hasn't paid his coaches as agreed. It's all a game. The reason there were only 11 players is because no one else wanted to be on the team! He wasn't able to get enough players. With so much negative stuff revolving around the Blue Jays, other more reputable teams are looking good to people. He has to fill his roster with players from other states! Believe me, you pay, some of them don't, especially the ones who get drafted. It's all planned out. Your money pays for him to travel to get these kids & he gets them with lies & "don't worry about the money."

Nothing costs as much as he tells you it does, from the hotels to the bus to the tournament fees (which are always paid late - just ask PG). Atlanta Blue Jays, not. His convincing story to you didn't really tell what was going on behind the scenes. He's in charge but will tell the other coaches they are. They can't do anything without him telling them to. But this way no parent gets upset with him directly. Con artist. Most can't play the games he does & manipulate people so they quit. They see it's wrong, eventually. Don't be misguided by a man who lies about everything. Believe me, you could do something for him, so he made it look like he was helping you. You're glad the guy didn't get paid? That's awful. Your money was suppose to help pay him, but AD works it out so he gets it all. You should ask to see the books. You should talk to several old employees. You would be shocked. Just a fair warning.

Not a half truth

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 08, 2016

The reality is that a select few were given the oppotunity to play in those 17U tournaments. My son's fees were paid in full. He was not given any opportunities. Those given the chance to play were those positions he needed filled. That was for his benefit, as a result your son got some benefit. Good for him for making the most of it.

Anthony Dye claims to run an organization. The reality is he runs a 17U team. Perhaps if he stuck to just that one team, there would not be an issue since he had nothing but excuses for why he wasn't taking care of his 16U team.

Money was taken from players to pay for the 16U team. I would love to know where it went since only 4 tournaments were paid. I requested a copy of the budget since he claimed to be transparent in his actions. When questioned as to why we were asked to pay for cage time, I was told they weren't budgeted, yet he refused to provide a budget. Again - he is hiding something, or it should not have been a problem to provide.

16U

AUTHOR: 16uparent - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 08, 2016

I am a 16U Parent from this recent season, and, we will be returning to the Atlanta Blue Jays this fall, as are most other players from the team.  It was Coach Dye who saved this team from the head coach who was running it into the ground.  We were misinformed from the prior coach about the number of players on the team, and we were told that our team would be competitive.  After the first tournament in Florida, I saw that that was not the case.  There were 11 guys on the roster, whereas the former coach said there would be 20-24.  I was not happy as it was said by the former coach during countless communications that he was in charge of the team.  I realized that there would be no way to finish a season or have enough players to make it through.

However, Coach Dye immediately saw what was transpiring and took action.  My son and other players who had paid the team fees were given the opportunity to play in the 17U PG WWBA, 17U BCS, and 17U Evoshield tourney.  Because of that, we have been getting phone calls from colleges.  Other players also played in those events as well.  Our showing up to these events were welcomed by the 17U players, as there was no ill-will.  I saw first hand that the family atmosphere on a team was true, which was lacking by the previous coach of the 16's.

I am glad the previous coach was not paid, because he didn't hold up his end and, as a parent, I would have been angry about that.  The previous coach even played guys who had not paid, and Anthony took action by pulling that player and others off the field.  I have seen players get their way with FREE and I learned that was not the case here.  I thank Coach Dye and the organization for stepping up in that regard.  What Angela saying is half truth.  There were players who had not paid the team fees.  That is why the roster did not pan out.

Again, that is why Mr. Dye stepped up, to help out those players who had paid the amount.  This organization is not one where 2-3 teams are paying for the top team.  Mr. Dye showed that he is not like the others who are in it for that.  We thank him for that!

These are the real facts.  This is not half truth.  I wish Anthony was not loyal to that coach, because that coach was not loyal to us or him.  But, again, Coach Anthony stepped up and we thank him for that!

Very serious

AUTHOR: S - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 04, 2016

TrojanNation, I would advise you to be cautious.  Your rebuttal to Ms. Andrea had nothing to do with any facts, but was really just a stab at her.  Regardless of any drama caused at the high school, she has some very serious issues with Mr. Dye and his organization, as do many others.  I do not know her personally, but she is stating some facts that are really just a repeat of the past.  She in no way caused drama for the blue jays organization.  She was a victim of it.

The facts are the facts.  There are MANY of us, employees and parents, who have been taken advantage of financially.  Everything she says is not only true, but there's been a pattern of this for years.  Not much is posted on this site regarding the manipulation, taking of funds, etc, but it's been going on for many years.  All of the coaches and other employees quit when they realize what's happening or when they are affected financially.  He abuses his power.  He may have approached you and others about joining his organization, and he IS a good coach, but that's where it ends.  Nothing else about this man can be labeled "good."  Take note of how Steve is the ONLY coach who still coaches with him.  We all knew that he had Steve blinded to reality.  It's hard to explain in writing, but I feel it necessary to warn parents.  He will be reachable and friendly and talk to you daily until something happens and then you can't reach him and he doesn't return calls.  One recent coach quit but AD is telling people that he got fired for being a bad coach.

AD will get players on his team (the older team), that's true.  He will seek out good players who are already being looked at and are "in the news" so to speak.  He will even get players from other states, only the really good ones, so he can work with them and get all the glory (and money) when they sign.  This DOES happen, ethical or not, but it does.  The one or two players that he really wants to expose are able to be because of all the other players (parents) who pay big bucks.  He talks a good talk and is very good at what he does, which is manipulating others.  His team travels together on a bus, his players stay at Steve's house, his house, or he puts them up in a hotel.  Some people think this is great, especially the players.  Think about it.  It's a great way to get all of these kids away from their parents.

He doesn't like dealing with parents and can do so much more with them away from their parents.  Kids bond with kids.  That's normal and they can do that on any team.  I say all of this because I have seen it all first hand.  I've been there.  I will say, though, there were usually a couple of parents (typically moms) that would hang out with the team, go to dinner with us, even travel, but rumors even flew with that.  One of those moms ended up being the mother of AD's own son.  He denied it for years, but we all knew.  His own wife didn't even know about his child until he was probably 5 years old.  We didn't even know he had a wife!  Some of this information may have nothing to do with his coaching ability, but it sure does reflect his integrity and who he is as a person.  Why has there never been any information (bio) about him on his own team's website? The other coaches would always have bios, but never him.  No one really knows much about him or his history, but we do know that he never played pro ball for the MLB as he stated to us.  Not that pro ballers are better coaches, but the fact is he lied.  Is this the type of man you want influencing your son?  There is great baseball in Atlanta now.  They can create just as much exposure, or even more.

Get your facts straight before accusing me.

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 02, 2016

Am I serious? Absolutely. Feel free to find any tournaments that the 16u Blue Jays played in this summer. You will find 4. 3 Triple Crown and one Prospect wire. Zero Perfect Game. The only team he supported and scheduled tournaments for was his 17U. He never loaded a roster or schedule to his website for the 15U or 16U teams. You want to call me out by name, then have the courtesy to identify your self. I have 9 other parents who will back me up on my claim. This has absolutely nothing to do with HS baseball and you show some seriously low class to think you have any right to link the two. Feel free to throw your money at an organization that is happy to take it. Look into the prior year complaints. You will find he has a history of taking money. You obviously know me, if you wanted proof all you had to do ask. I could easily give you the numbers for our coach who quit due to his practices or the one that stayed that can confirm that the coaches of our team were not paid. Or the parents who are organizing a class action suit. But hey, it's a whole lot easier to hide behind an anonymous name and speak about something you know nothing about than to actually get your facts straight.

Andrea, are you serious?

AUTHOR: TrojanNation - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 02, 2016

Andrea, are you serious?   You are the same parent who caused problems during the high school season.  I should know, because I am a parent at the same school your son attends.  I am not surprised.  This is like high school where you created unnecessary drama.  This is what happens when you don't get your way apparently.  Drama all over again!

How do we know about all of this?  Through research and reading posts, and seeing that your name was listed as initiating complaint, I connected the dots.  The Atlanta Blue Jays have reached out to us, and we personally know players who have gone through the program.  We are seriously considering playing for them.  Remember, Trojan Nation is a small community.

Get Warrant!

AUTHOR: Anonymous 2 - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 01, 2016

If what was taken from you was over $500 (felony), you can get a warrant for theft by taking, theft by deception, or theft by conversion.  You should immediately go to the authorities and file a police report.  Make them aware of how many families were taken advantage of and make them aware that the same thing happened last year as well.

Power in Numbers

AUTHOR: S - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, July 28, 2016

Please report this to the Better Business Bureau. You may never see that money again, but hopefully this will help future players & parents from becoming victims of Mr. Dye. What will his excuse be this year? Someone stole it again? As stated in other reports as well, there are plenty of us who never received our paychecks due us. It's always an excuse. Mr. Loureiro has been a coach since the Blue Jays started, but all the others are gone. Most only last ONE season. Steve is just blind to all AD does or he doesn't care. Please group together and don't give up on trying to get your money back. Use the court system to help. Use social media or news media, too. For some, the money isn't an issue & they just let it go. However. If you add all the families' money together it's a lot! This is the 2nd summer in a row he has lied to parents & players, taken the money and not fielded a team. You are SO right about him joining tournaments at the last minute. He puts them on the schedule but doesn't pay sometimes until the day before it starts. As another said, his integrity will be his downfall, but he needs to be stopped. Too many are manipulated and lied to - and it's done so well they believe him! I would suggest reporting to Born to Compete as well. Not sure they will want to support a person like this.
