I received a letter in an envelope with no return address with stamp from Canada. It was from Atlantic Finance & Trust with the address of 1240 Yonge St. Toronto, Ontario M5G 2N7 Canada. The letter said that I am one of the winner of De-Lotto North American Sweepstakes Lottery On Shoppers held on Tuesday September 30th 2008. Inside the letter is a check for $4875 paid to my name Tomas Lejano, spelled with out a letter "H" which is my birth name but through court approval was changed to "THOMAS" when I became a naturalized American citizen. The letter said that my total winning same with the rest of the other 31 winners is $125,000.00. I do not remember entering into a sweepstakes and winning this amount worried me because this is too good to be true. I called the number on the letter and spoke to a person but I did not get his name and he asked for the claim number. After I gave him the claim number he put me on hold for about 3 minutes and he said that I am definitely a winner for $125,000.00. I was instructed to deposit the check to my bank account and call him back as soon as I have done that and then the rest of the fund will be mailed to me through Western Union. I told him that I do not want to use my current bank account for this and he said I can open up another bank account if I wish.
That is when I decided to go online on any rip off scheme and I found one reported that is exactly the same as mine. I am just hoping that this goes out to most people especially the senior people that are vurenable. Thank you.
