What you fail to mention is that would not return any of my phone calls. 70 + over several months. Called from different phones. Also, the address on your proposal you were evicted from and I see writ of ejectment from you current listed business address in Park West. It's all public information. It was a reasonable assumption that my money was stolen and I HAD to get a roof. I don't think a judge in this state would say that I broke the contract. Especially with the documented history of your company doing the same thing to other consumers. In fact, I recently received a call from another one of your victims. Got my name from the small claims court on CharlestonCounty.org.
Dude, you can't run a business like this. If you do you are going to lose your General Contractors license. This came directly from the SC LLR investigator.
Also, you never put a dumpster in my yard. That is a lie. I have multiple witnesses who will testify to that. Can't beleive you had the nerve to tell this lie to the Mt. Pleasant detective who was getting ready to warrant you for breach of trust. Funny how, not long after that you ponied up my money.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Client Was Issued a Full Refund

Client signed a contract with our company to put a new roof on client's house. As customary with our contracts, we require a deposit upfront to cover project costs. These costs were incurred immediately as we ordered roofing shingles, purchased a permit and ordered a dumpster. We placed our business sign in client's yard.
Client did not agree to a start date nor did client agree to an estimated completion date. At the time client signed the contract, we explained that rain delays may impact our start date. Client agreed that was reasonable and understood that we do not operate in unsafe conditions. Client later informed us of an insurance-related deadline which we could not meet due to weather-related concerns. We made every effort to start the project in a timely fashion and also respect our employee's safety. Client did not give us a reasonable opportunity to begin the project.
Client later breached our contract, hired another contractor and requested we return the deposit. Beacuse client did not move forward with the project, the company was left on the hook for project-related costs.
The client's deposit has been refunded in full.
