Rogers/AT&T ripoff do not desclose critical information on the cellular acounts and almoust legaly rip u off Toronto Ontario
*Consumer Comment: This is an outright lie. They charge you whether you have ever signed a contract or not and if not they do not produce a contract & still charge you.
*UPDATE Employee: Clearing up misconception
they tell you that it is good for you to consoludate your cable/internet/cell acounts, so that the new account they create has new rules that are NOT desclosed, like if your account is even one day overduo they suspend your account while you still pay for the full service that they are NOT providing you with, plus a reconection fee of 25$ and you can not cancel your acount untill your account has been cleard. All this starts with a phone call to your house with an offer for a free cellular phone from rogers/at&t.

Rogers is the biggest Rip Off Company I have ever come across in my life. I paid for my phone and I signed no contract nor did I agree to any contract and even though I paid them an extra $135.00 after I asked them to cancel my phone. I did not owe it to them but they said no you can't cancel because it keeps growning and they keep charging for a service that they refuse to provide and they refuse to let you canel your account unless you pay them extra monies that they try to extort form you with threats. They threaten legal action and I had my lawyer present who they promised to provide a copy of the contract to.Guess what NO CONTRACT!! but a new bill every month. They do not have a contract with me but threaten to ruin my credit, sue me, take me to court but cannot provide this mysterious contract with my signature that does not exist.. These people are the worst type of scum I have ever come across and yet they can effect your credit because they are in bed with the big banks and count on you folding & paying them whether you owe them or not. I have been told by no less than 3 Rogers emplyees that they would fax either me or my lawyer a copy of my contract but they have never done so because it does not exist.

In response to your allegation that Rogers Wireless suspends their customers account after 1 day of becoming overdue, that is completely inaccurate.
If your account is overdue you will incur a late payment charge on your following invoice. Also accounts receivable will put you on an automated dialer system where you will receive periodic reminder calls or text messages which advise you that your account is overdue and to please contact them in order to make payment arrangements.
If after a period of time, this time frame varies based upon your tenure and payment history with the company, you do not contact Rogers or pay your bill they will put an AR restrict on your account which simply means that the only number you will be able to call will be Rogers.
If all else fails and you still do not pay your bill they will then suspend your account until your balance is covered. And yes you will still continue to be charged your monthly service fee as you did agree to do this when you signed your terms and conditions.
When you sign a contract you agree to pay the services for the length of the term, Rogers has not defaulted on their commitment to provide you service however in order for services to be provided you must honour your end of the deal- pay your bill.
