This is a copy of e-maile sent to AT&T BBB department
Unauthorized account opened:  *****4863

Spoke with Shana #SH678R and several others over several months

An account was opened, unathorized for AT&T services.  Now is in collections apparently.  Have called AT&T numerous times about this.  Promised it is resolved.  It never is.  Balance on this unauthorized account started around $70 and is now at $820 something.  Collection agency still calling.  AT&T still saying they will take care off it.  Collection agency says it has not been taken care of.  AT&T again says it is taken care of. 

On and ON.  This is now affecting credit score.  Some AT&T employee's mistake is affecting someones credit score.  Certegy is asking for a police report.  Will call police about this in the morning to file a report of the fraud that is apparently happening at the offices of AT&T.  Ridiculous isn't it. I guess this is what has to be done. Instead of just wasting my time, I now get to waste the time of busy police officers. 

This all started when we called to have our internet services moved a year ago.  We have been dealing with this for months.  Instead of "moving services",an employee of AT&T opened up another account and it is conviently being called an "unauthorized account". They don't want to have to deal with the responsibility. They want us to file a "affidavit of Forgery".  We will.  Citing AT&T as the forgers. 

Customer service is very, very poor at AT&T.  Will also file this complaint with the BAD Business Bureau and the Ripoff Report.  I would love to see a large class lawsuit brought against AT&T for their fraud and billing issues that they do not resolve.  Will  cancel all current services if this is not resolved.   If this is not direct enough or to the point, please email back for any questions. 

If you can't help or authorize the removal of my problem, don't respond and send it to someone who can.  Tired of hearing promises from people who do not have the authority to take care of the problem.  I am sending this to myself for proof of to whom and when it was sent.  A written letter is also being to sent to every contact address I can find for AT&T. 

I will be in the AT&T stores or calling them frequently as well until this is resolved simply because they are selling the services of a company that apparently condones fraud and poor customer services.  Thanks in advance for the help you will provide.  And since this address goes to att.com.......I think I just better go to the actual BBB website and file a copy of this complaint as well.
