attorney eric smith sent a notice of he is going to pursue legal action against me in regards to a payday on 12/20/2012 new york new york

on october 6 2014 i recieved per e-mail a notice from attorney eric smith, that stated that he was going to pursue legal action against me  for a supposed payday loan that he claims i recieved and never paid back. he says the initial amt was 350.00 and now the amt is 950.00 and if i dont take care of this matter then he will have charges brought against me.they are violation of federal banking regulations, collaterel check fraud, andtheft by decception.he also says in the e-mail that if this has to go to court then the amt i will owe will be 10,000 dollars and my bank acct, and debit card, and my social security number will be frozen and i would have no access to them.so has anyone else recieved such an e-mail like this.
