AudioFile Speakers yet another ripoff story from Frisco Texas

I was approached by two guys in a dark green Ford Expedition, a blond haired guy told me they were doing a stereo install and wound up with an extra pair of speakers from the warehouse.

I thought they were local, but should've been suspicious of their California tags. However, they showed me the brochures of the speaker system, had the retail price printed on the box, etc.

I bought the 5 speaker surround sound set with the subwoofer. The "normal" price was $900 and I paid those *uckers $350.

Fortunately the speakers work pretty good for my application, but would hate to see others get taken for a ride, therefore I'm putting in my two cents worth! I figured it was a scam, and guess I shouldn't have done it. Oh well, I'll just play these speakers til they give out, and then I'll go back to a reputable place to buy new ones.

I learned my lesson! Don't buy stuff from anyone selling anything out of their car!
