Audiovox Audivox VE1040 Combo, TV, Radio, DVD Player Hauppauge New York

I purchased an Audiovox VE1040 combo, TV, Radio and DVD player two years ago, it was over $600. The DVD player stopped working, I took it to a local repair shop and they said they could repair it but they can no longer get the parts. I contacted Audiovox through their online support and I received the following message: "I am sorry that there is a problem with your under-cabinet unit. Audiovox does not sell repair parts. All service work is done in our own facility.

Unfortunately, this model cannot be repaired. It has been out of production for a long time and we cannot get repair parts for it any longer. The best thing to do would be to try to find one on the Internet or replace it with a newer model."

I was not happy with that answer, how does a company offer ,what I feel was an expensive item and not have parts available. I can see if it was many years later, but it's only two years. I think companies do this so you have to buy new.

I will never purchase another item made by this company.
