In june of 2005 received a letter from Los Angeles county tax collector that my house would be auctioned off due to unpaid taxes in 1997 and 2002 . The total ammount was $1072.00 for taxes and $1747.00 in penalties and interest for a total of $2819.00.

I called Aurora loan service told them of the letter and who to contact at L.A. county tax collectors office. The lady assured me it would be handled right away. I called back to L.A.tax office later in the day and sure enough the ammont had been paid by Aurora.

One month later I get notice that Midland mortgage co. is my new mortgage comany and to start sending my payments to them which I did. A few months latter I get a notice from Midland that my monthly payments are going up over 300.00 a month due to projected increases in the next 12 months.

I wrote them back and told them that there reason for the increase was a lie and that it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what this is all about. Midland sent me a new payment book which was tha same ammount I was paying Aurora before I got notice of the increase. Anyway back to the letter I told them I was not going to pay any different amount . Midland never responded to any of the letters I wrote to them about this matter.

After getting all the paper work from aurora loan service, it shows aurora did pay off the tax lien but only the 1072.00was credited to the account the other 1747.00 was given to Midland as a negative escrow shortage. So my thinking on this is Aurora by paying the 1072.00 is admmitting fault but not taking the responsibility of the 1747.00 in interest and penalties. these taxes were not supplementals and by Midland trying to get this money in a complete lie shows how low these companys will go.

Nowthe problem i have is Midland says I owe them over 5000.00 this includes their penalties and interest and i cannot take advantage of these low interest rates now and refinance because Midland is showing I'm behind on my payments. I can prove everthing I stated here and will not let these bandits take me down and i will defeat them.
