I received the following e-mail from Auth Media:

As it turns out. I could not find any Auth Media on the internet, when you do a search for Auth Media, you come up with several websites that are reporting questionable behavior on their part. I went thru the whole sign-up process on the "http://tinyurl.com/AuthMediaFreeReport" web site. and I still have not received any free or otherwise credit report from them. When you go to this website and complete the required information, you are actually being signed up for three different things, ie: Credit Diagnosis, Your Savings Club and Identity Diagnosis.

After determining that this was some sort of scam, I called the toll free numbers given and cancelled my membership, in return I received an e-mail from each of the entities named above confirming that my membership had been cancelled. Incidentually one of the numbers given was the number for Xerox - service department.

It seems that what they are doing is sending business to a central entity that enters a membership to each of the above mentioned parts of the organization.

They seem to make their money from people who are too busy to notice the 'this membership will incur monthly charges, unless cancelled by you' notice.
