Beware of this auto care plus located in Hazel Green, Alabama. They will tell you one price and once they have completed the work, the price has increased and your car will not be fixed. I took my car to them with a leak around the oil pan.  I was quoted $150.00. I picked up my car, the balance was $800.00 and the car still had the oil leak. A week later my car threw a rod. Beware!! They use the "switch 'n bait", and there is nothing you can do about it. The owner is not honest and does not do honest work.

A sad situation!!!!!

You guys are incredible!! Isn't this car you are speaking of "supposedly" the first of TWO vehicles you sent to my shop????

First off I have been in business for 12 years and you guys are the FIRST people that I have ever had a issue with. With that being said maybe we should put both sides of the story out there. First off the car you are speaking of on here, I don't even have a record of and if you do PLEASE feel free to provide us with it on here for all to view! Second even if I did work on your car "the price aside" if it still had a leak and you supposedly paid 800 dollars, WHY didn't you bring it back in? Instead you wait for a couple months from the supposed date of the original repair and yet BRING ANOTHER CAR!!! WOW!! I must say that would be a first. If I took my car somewhere and paid for something and it wasn't done right I would have it back up there. I surely wouldn't have chalked it up as a loss AND THEN BROUGHT THE SAME PEOPLE ANOTHER CAR TO WORK ON!!

Which for the record, is the car that these people really have the issue with truth be known. They filed a report with the BBB and I followed up as I should have. ALL of the records are listed on the BBB website for all to see. Please feel free to go check it out! Also as far as that car goes ALL prices were agreed on BASED on what the customer had originally told us upon dropping the vehicle off. They did say it had a power steering leak and was told it was coming from the "rack n pinion". Needless to say, the car showed up to us on a wrecker and upon initial inspection we found that a pressure hose had been leaking and the front bushing had went out in the pump from being driven WITHOUT any fluid in the power steering system, which the customers FAILED to tell us. So at tat time We did tell them that "from what we could see" the rack n pinion appeared to be okay. Regardless, the power steering pump had to be fixed along with the pressure hose, so that the car could even be drivable. Once we made the initial repairs and restored hydraulic pressure to the system we THEN found the the rack  pinion was indeed leaking. That Saturday I phoned the customer and informed her of our findings, she was unhappy as I would also be if I were in her position. In an effort to help her I found a used unit and gave it to her at my company cost and discounted the labor for the installation of the unit. She agreed to everything and I explained to her that in order for me to be able to do this, she would have to come pay for the PARTS. Meaning ALL of the parts that we had in the vehicle, because she had stated the it was going to be better than a week before she could come and get the car. I proceeded with the installation of the unit and it was almost a week before she even came in to pay. When she came in, she paid 500.00 I at that time told her that was NOT enough to cover ALL of the parts. She then stated she would be back in on the following day to pay the remainder of the parts money. She did not honor her word so I was forced by my business partner to start charging storage fees from the following Monday. Almost a week went by and then she came to get the car. The customers husband came in and of course felt like he shouldn't have to pay the storage fees which by that time were out of my hands.

Around that time was when they reported me to the BBB and apparently to this website also. Since this report the customers have also brought the car back for a suspected power steering leak which turned out to be nothing but old blow by from a prior leak. At that time the gentleman that brought the car, said he was told there was a leak, but upon checking the vehicle, there were no findings of a power steering leak and also the gentleman stated that he had not added ANY fluid and at that time we checked the reservoir and it was full.

With that being said, I have stated my side of this story and am sorry that the customers feel the way they do. I wish them well in their future repair transactions as they will not be done in the future at my repair facility.
