On March 15, 2008, I called Central Kia of Lewisville for a special they were having on financing. I was told about an hour later that I was approved for a new 2007 or 2008 Kia Sedona for payments at $250 each month. I drove for an hour from far west Fort Worth to Lewisville in order to sign the payperwork.

When I arrived, I was told the salesperson I spoke to, "Star" was with a customer currently and I was set up with another salesperson. After waiting for over 20 minutes with my three young children, the salesperson finally took us to a cubical. I was then told that I could not have the 2007 or 2008 Sedona for the payments of $250 each month, that I was looking at around $400. He then told me he could, however, get me into a Chrysler Pacifica for $250 each month. He then left me and my children in this cubical for about half an hour or so, saying he was going to pull the car around for me to look at.

When he came back, I asked him why it was that I was told by one person that I had already been approved for then new minvan only to drive an hour with my three children to be told I could not have it. He promptly told me that the preapproval people would tell people anything to get them to come down to the dealership. I then said I would like to speak with his manager and with the origional person who told me I was preapproved for this new minivan. He told me that "Star" was not available, that she was not at work that day. I had just spoken to her! Not to mention the fact that when I first arrived, I was told that she was with another customer!! Needless to say, I was getting very irritated.

When he showed back up with his manager, another 20 to 30 minutes later, I was told that what I was told to over the phone was impossible to do, and that maybe I should go out on the lot and look at another car to see the one that I liked. I finally agreed to look at the Chrysler. I decided that I liked it and it would suit my needs. So, I headed back inside to that stupid glass cubical to sign the papers, or so I thought.

My salesperson, leaving us again, told me that he was going to have the numbers run for me so I could sign the papers. Awhile later, he comes back with a man he says is a manager. This person came in and told me that the car they had just told me would be $250 each month for financing would actually be closer to $576 each month with $2000 down. I lost my temper at that point, and speaking to him as if he were an insolent teenager, I told him that twice now I have been lied to about the price and financing of a car. I had been told, twice now, that a car would be in my range, and I was told otherwise twice now. I told them that if I had done something like this to someone who expected a service of me, I would no longer have their business, and that I had been sorely inconvienenced in being told something to get me to drive an hour with three children only too be told that this was a lie, twice. I wanted it resolved and I wanted it resolved Now.

Another supervisor was brought in, who told me that this next car was definately in my pricerange. I test drove this car, only to find that it, like the others, was still about $150 above what was agreed apon. I fought with them over the price for another few hours until they brought it down to $339 a month. I told them they had to bring it down more. They told me that they could not, seeing as my trade in could not be bought and that if I came by with my husband the next day, which was Sunday, that maybe they could reach a deal with us. I then walked out.

I will Never go back to that dealership again. They lied to me a total of 3 times and had nothing but excuses, and then dared to insult me by hinting that the only way we could make a deal would be to speak with my husband.
