I purchaeed a2005 Maxima over 10  years ago, while living at 1687 Golden Valley Drive in Waterloo, Iowa 50703. I was served by way of BlackHawk County, at my present address 341 Anthony St. Evansdale, Ia 50707. The papers I received are full of deceptions and misquotes. The car was never repo'd but traded in on April 28,08 for a 2006 Ford Explorer of which The Car Dealership-d**k Witham Ford was to pay the balance. I have been with the same bank Wells Fargo for nearly 20 years and they have never mentioned this dept to me, nor has it been on my monthlyn acct. statements. In order to find me, someone went to great lengths to find my new home address, phone number, went through any potential service records and job datas etc. I've lived here on Anthony St. for nearly 4 years and never received any mail regardiing this matter and as stated the informations related in the papers filed are completely misrepresented and I would like to file a grievience before I soeak with an Atty. and take this further. I'm a 72 year old-Disabled person who does'nt have time for these false accusations and even in the papersa they sent, I can prove its nothing more than a dirty tactic to collect a dep't that never was. I cannot speak on the phone because of a speech impairment I have surrounding throat surgery, so this is my only way of communication. Please respond and Thank You!

Sounds like a judgment to me

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 19, 2017

I can't tell from your post if it is a judgment against you or not, but based on what you posted it sounds like a judgment has been placed against you. Judgments last a very long time, anywhere from ten years to twenty years plus renewals if applicable. You said you traded in your vehicle in 2008.  There are some unscrupulous dealerships that didn't pay off the lien on the traded vehicle. You will need to research your specific situation further to determine the facts. Once you have the facts, then you can persue a remedy. The very first thing to verify is if you have an outstanding judgment against you. This would be public record. Then determine iif the traded vehicle was paid off or not. Then you have some leads to determine where to go from there. If you don't know, then contact an attorney for help.
