Back in 2005 my father was up and watching those info mercials... He saw a product for possible hair growth.. so he called the number to find out the price.. When on the phone the lady from a rep of AVACOR  informed him that she could not give the price unless he provided her with his credit card (he is going to be 83 in april and is now bedridden) anyways she told him if he did not agree with the price she would give him a cancelation number and a number to call to cancel it right away.. He didn't like the price of over 500 dollars and she gave him the number to call and a number to give.. he then decided jus to be on the safeside to call his credit card (Household Bank - which is a scam bank) The lady with household said sorry sir I see it processed but I can't stop it.. he said i'm the customer i want it stopped she said she cant and would have to go through the proper process.

Avacor intentionally disregarded his cancelation set him up from the get go.. and then shipped him out the product which arrived at his door which he sent back the next day (UPS left it at his door step while he was at the docs and was too late to go to Ups)  The name was not his name but it arrived at his address .. (In later documents they claim that the zip was wrong - and the state was wrong - In their paper work) But unless things changed from UPS where my x husband worked long ago I thought they sorted things via zipcode.. The name was way off didn't match the credit card nor did the address.. checked with Mastercard on phone and she said it don't matter most laws are to protect the merchant not the cardholder. They pass thru what they want and how they want.

Anyways my dad then had loads of problem with household bank and he was a outstanding customer for 3 yrs with them utilizing it in thousands each month and paying his card in full or more than minimum.. We then sent in complaint and complaint Avacor claimed they sent a check in April..

there paperwork that we received from household showed so many errors and possible fraudulent acts that we wonder how households investigation didn't see the wishywashy dates and so called notes. they twisted it said my dad gave his credit card and didn't want to hear about the product .. says he cancelled it but says he didn't..  After they note in their notes that his addy was wrong his name was wrong.. he gets a refund check again this one arrives in Aug (like 7-8 mos after initial order cancelation) under a wrong name the fictious name they conveniently picked for him .. but of course they got that card number and all that other info correct.

After finally they sent household a check household debits - household said his account was zero balance and everything was settled.. so we cancelled the household acct... they too were shady ...  this was back in 2005  then they reisntated AVACOR bill supposed to have settled that and closed acct.. After we closed the household bank they lowered his credit (which should of been cancelled) but lowered it from 4000 to 800 and tacked back on the AVACOR bill along with overdraft and another charge...

 Now 2010 my poor dad gets a notice to appear in court (which he cant due to his health - but he said wheel me in ) well we got this from another company that was to have supposed to bought it... I found on here with complaints "atlantic credit & finance incorporated"... who is being represented by a lawyer who i also found allegations on online with shady things with again credit and elderly (whether or not it is true or not i don't know) but his name is Marvin S.C Dang in hawaii... this whole thing seems like a big racketeering business .. sad thing is it seems that they are targeting the elderly and this breaks my heart..  My neighbor who is retired almost a senior (don't tell him that) same thing.. he went on the info mercial ordered something they got his card right but his name they messed totally up and all kinds of calls and mails so far his credit card is okay but he wanted his product  and got it but they have been calling and buggin him for money using the fictious name they gave him..

Seems like a pattern with them conveniently messing with the names etc.. Are there any laws that make it mandatory for these merchants that use cards (where the card is not present - via phone) that they have to make sure that things match up ..(name address number etc) seems they do that incase it has to be refunded then the refund with wrong name makes it so the customer can't cash a check made out to someone else..

 But now week ago a lawyer serves the papers .. no date on it of serving.. but in the back it jus says 2cd wed on date of serving ...inside a   paper of what is owed to household no details ..well don't have where the charges came from only that he that the lawyers client it bought it from household.. but i'm pretty sure it's ol' AVACOR fee who knows got so many potential crooks within this one it's a headache- so my dad has no refund, no product that made his hair grow only less hair from all the stress..in bed mad as can be wanting to tell the judge that these people are crooks..(as much as he wants to i can't let him he jus started goin to the dr for blood test instead of home visits)

If anyone has any suggestions - or information on any of the alleged racketeers that i mentioned (i know i can't say they are racketeers ) But i do not feel they are profesional and or upright companies and are utilizing loopholes in the laws.. by what I experienced thus far.. Please let me know if you have any information. knowledge is power ;)

 My father during 2005 -2006 was stressed out so much from this it almost killed him.. now he jus got started to walking to the bathroom and out of that red and again he is all upset..he was on his way back from the doctors and got in a car accident and almost died.. they thought he wasn't going to make it let him come home and he slowly got better but not the same..But this is insane that these people are doing this...  This is a crime that these people do.. they may think of it as money thru loopholes in laws but the people they are doing this too are very fragile.

While it is true the old management often engaged in unscrupulous business practices and customer refunds were never received, those practices DO NOT occur within the new company.  Every single issue that is mentioned here on rip off report has to do with the old ownership/management of Global Vision Products, the company who originally marketed and advertised the product avacor.  None of these issues are relevant to the new company, Avacor Products LLC.
